The works of the Iranian illustrator Alireza Pakdel criticize the current patterns of behavior in society and propose a reflection on issues that are left aside by a large part of the modern-day population.

In the images below, the artist is trying to address several themes such as capitalism, consumerism, technology, and the harm caused by humans to nature and animals who have to live in pollution.

We featured the author’s work here at Bored Panda a few months ago with his comics portraying the sacrifice of health professionals in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, right now we would like to share some of his new work that takes on a different perspective and touches the morals and values of modern-day society.

i like the symbolism behind this. both sides are going to war for what they believe in, and it shows how neither side is "evil", just strong opinions. and however they choose to express those opinions, they chose to let innocent people stay safe.

People trying to keep mainstream and make their lives look perfect, making their lives worse instead, the sacrifices some people make are too great and pointless sometimes, this is just sad

Oh please, I was a child before the era of smartphones and many preferred books to playing with others, including myself. Even now kids are encouraged to play, or were before schools went online. Also this: FpOXy1U.jpg FpOXy1U.jpg

That's not completely true :) I like to believe that my generation can be just as social, wholesome, and fun, as our ancestors. (Of course, I'm biased, but still).

I feel like this is becoming a really unfair overused stereotype. There are still city parks...go look at one. There are children running around playing. Children's bikes are still selling, backyard play equipment is still selling, the skate park by my home is always bustling. The people who keep making this reference are the ones who need to go outside more. For another view my boyfriend is in his forties and despite his generation...was always made to go outside and he snuck a book with him.

I'll tell the to all the people I was hanging out with in my backyard last night. Oh and the kids I take the park everyday....where they run around and make new friends. P.S. What we are doing right now is socially interacting.

It's upsetting to see discarded masks on the ground of almost every shopping area.

Makes me think of mega churches or politicians, not owning up to their promises.

point taken. The fat guy on the loaf of bread swing has it all being pushed by the little one who has nothing and is bound by poverty. How sad but so very true

I think it is about richer people not caring (or seeing) about how much they are hurting others, especially those with led power

As yes the oil barons have it all and there are those who are poverty stricken even in the richest of nations. They never reap the riches and you have to ask why?
