Disney has been dishing out live-action remakes left and right, creating a whole new kind of buzz around their classic characters. And while that’s been going on, freelance artists have taken their own creative initiatives to dream up some of their own ideas.

These artists are reimagining Disney princesses into a more contemporary setting, giving them a modern makeover that is reminiscent of today’s pop culture looks. This is, no doubt, somewhat inspired by the Disney princess’s wardrobes in Wreck-It Ralph II. The modern garb became an instant hit with viewers, and people became eager to create their own custom modern Disney garb so that they too could feel like a princess.
