Artist Merges Two Celebrities Into One Creating Mashups That Confuse Many (40 New Pics)
While you're scrolling through Instagram, you're bound to come across some photos of celebrities that look… familiar but different. There's something strange about them, but you can't quite put your finger on it. That's when you realize that they're actually morphs of different pairs of celebrities, lovingly mixed by French artist Morphy_me, aka Benjamin.
The artist blends together the faces of stars that are both very similar, and wildly different. What's more, he's not afraid to mix male and female celeb faces from time to time, either. Check out some of Benji's best newest morphs below and let us know which ones you loved the most by giving them an upvote and posting a comment.
The artist told Bored Panda that it's hard to pick just one recent favorite that he's done, however, the morph of Ana de Armas and Marilyn Monroe might just be his favorite one in 2020. Benji also doesn't think that he'll run out of ideas any time soon: "People are always coming up with new ideas, and I also personally still have many I'd like to try, so it's never a problem to find new morphs to do." The artist was overjoyed with people's reactions and told Bored Panda that it's a "real pleasure" to see them enjoying his edits. However, he's also realistic about the fact that not everyone will like his work.
"I would have never thought this account would be popular for so long. I'm trying to make my morphs the best quality and the most realistic possible, but there's nothing really serious in all of that, it's all about fun. The only bad part of having a large audience is that you can never please everybody. But I try to diversify my edits as much as I can."
Benji also gave some suggestions for those of you who want to follow in his footsteps. "I've always used Photoshop and Premiere Pro a lot, whether it's on my own or during my studies. Watching a lot of tutorials is always useful, and then you only need to be creative to do cool things."
The Morphy_me Instagram page currently has 104k followers and Benji's fandom doesn't look like it'll stop growing any time soon.

Benjamin now spends around an hour on each one of his morphs. Having started the page back in 2015, he's now updated his workflow and added in several steps to make the end results look more realistic.
He told Insider that he tries to run the page the same way he did when he first started back in 2015. His method is a close-kept secret, but he did reveal each "morph" takes about an hour to complete.
"I want the morph to be more detailed and disturbing. So now I spend more time editing it, but post less frequently,” he told Insider.

Wow, I've really fallen off the wagon. I have no idea who half of these are. Enjoyed the ones I did, though. Kind of an uncanny valley type of spooky feeling.

Interesting idea. Certain faces tend to dominate so no matter how talented the person manipulating the images is, you just see one face.

Welp, I'm certainly showing my age with this one. On a bunch of them I recognized one person immediately, then was stumped. Looked at the answer and knew why.

The artist did a good job of selecting pairs with similar coloring with one exception. And that one would have been impossible because only one human has skin the color of Cheetos.

I have apparently reached "old." Who are these people? Why spend time combining faces? This feels ridiculous and a bit creepy.

Be interesting if they blended the same actor with 10 others and then sequentially blended those outputs together. Would you be able to reconstruct the original actor in a meaningful way?

WHOA, so I don't pay that much attention to celebrities, but the ones where I knew both people's faces really well are SERIOUSLY FREAKY and pretty awesome!

Art is supposed to achieve something? Don't think you are clever for looking down on art that you don't appreciate. Humans have being doing things simply to entertain themselves artistically for over 40,000 years. Humans have also been arguing over what is or isn't "good" art for probably that long.
