As an Indian, this is very underwhelming to me :'). The gold completely washes her out. Wish they'd used more colours Have never seen silk sarees on this platform. Also it's really not sitting right with me that they used a 'Roman' point of view. Why can't we use INDIA'S pov, since we can decide for ourselves what we think? There are hundreds of different cultures in India, they could've done ANYTHING. not all of them are colourful, but this just doesn't strike as Indian to me.

The worst part is that this won. I can't help but feel the costume is incredibly tacky and a bit of a mess.

Why putting the moon on the costume??? The moon definitely does not belong to the US, or represent the US in any way. Or am I seeing a hint here...?

The US was the first to land on the moon, so while the US does not own it, it is definitely a major historical event tied to the US

Not to knock on the US (I live there), but does anyone else think their costumes are always tacky? Just curious

Oof! I say this as a proud American... Yikes... Doesn't the French outfit look much better/fitting and like kinda "Native American"? With all the feathers and, well, we have the same national colors.

I find it funny that the United States is the only country to have their model carry their flag. Not having it represented as part of the costume, but she's literally holding it.

I saw it and thought, "it has it own moon cool". Talk about misjudging the temperature of the room.

It needs more guns, McDonalds themed props, oil barrels, beer cases and fireworks in order to represent the true spirit of 'Murica.

I think we could have done something for Native Americans instead of stars and moon. Would have made this a lot higher on the list.

Only if the entrant is Native American, surely? That would be wonderful, otherwise surely it sends the wrong message?

So over the top. It doesn’t look like the moon. It looks like a hot air balloon and she’s about to lift off. Go ahead. Down vote me and get me kicked off for a couple of days. Just sayin’

Space cadets are fun and all but when you've had a real astronaut since the third grade it's kind of hilarious to watch space camp pretend to be NASA.

Miss Russia, Anna Linnikova

This national costume celebrates Russia's royal era and features a velvet dress decorated with precious stones and pearls, plus a crown of the Russian empire. The look was created in collaboration with the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.

That's a special level of arseholery, to flaunt your blood-soaked imperial past while your country is the aggressor in a war of naked expansionism against a sovereign neighbor using the transparent excuse they were formerly part of that empire. Eff her and the horse she rode on. Especially since this costume is supposedly inspired by Catherine the Great, and you know what they said about her...
