I Made Drawings Out Of Instant Coffee About My Memories From My Deployment (13 Pics)
I spent 8 busy months deployed to East Africa as a combat cameraman with the U.S. military. In the little bit of downtime I got, I used instant coffee in my Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) to draw memories from my time overseas.
I filmed a short video to share my creative process, using all the utensils found in an MRE to make art.

Share on FacebookWOW!!!!!!!! Thank you for your service AND your art Corban!! I love it and I want one. That is amazing. Great job!!
Finally something to do with it that lasts longer than its aftertaste! Excellent. The frog skeleton from memory or from roadside find?
These are stunning! How do you get the darker parts? I might have to try this one day, I love the warmth that it creates in the pictures <3
I hope he makes copies using acid free paper and inks. Who knows how quickly coffee will deteriorate, and these are too meaningful to lose.
I really like it. Particularly the skeleton. What beast is it. And what the heck is the deadly force authorized sign about.
In awe and inspired...-(yep, 'awe-inspiring' too!)- Because Art, in all forms, is the pure epitome of living and breathing. Tyvm for sharing this! Superbly talented and creative, so beautiful!
Fabulous! Please touch base with me at harrisfreitag@gmail.com if you'd like to sell these. Stay safe!
Wow! I'm an experienced drink-spiller, but this is taking it to a new level!
Wow, very few people can do something like this. It's a unique talent.
Gorgeous and really creative work! I love how you are able to achieve all of the different gradients with the coffee.
Beautiful! I couldn't do this with conventional paint, let alone coffee!
