‘Manspreading,’ an annoying but ultimately minor social issue, has gotten plenty of attention in recent times, with many women expressing their anger with the habit and ascribing things like ‘an exhibition of male dominance’ to it.
So instead of being treated as another social faux pas, like checking your phone in a conversation or picking your nose in public, this one has taken on a gendered slant and has skyrocketed into public consciousness, leading some men to try to rationalize themselves.
