Meet Wimpy Girl In A Running Sense Of Humor

I am a cartoonist and a runner. Ten years ago I started running and competing in races. I’m not young or an athlete…and I’m definitely not fast! I figured that there were others, like me, who, aren’t exactly fitness divas, but love to run. This is why I created the Wimpy Girl cartoon. A Running Sense of Humor is the first story in the Wimpy Girl series.

Wow! You are my hero! I agree. 5k is my limit. It astounds me the people that are in their 50s and 60s and run marathons and ultras. I figure they must have Gumby legs or something! Thanks for reading my stuff and commenting! And, keep running!

Good for her. More details please. Did you lose the weight? When did it stop mattering? Still running?

Hi Dorothy! Yep, I lost the weight plus 15 more! I'm 64 now and still doing 15-20 miles a week. Sometimes I run (not fast), sometimes I walk-run, sometimes I run-walk, sometimes I just walk. I was a chubby kid and plump many years as an adult, so I've always been "weight conscious." I know, I know, it shouldn't matter, but it does. I'm brand new to BP. I really appreciate your comment and reading my stuff. Thanks!
