But there are some that stand out from the rest. Canada, with its thirst for maple syrup, hockey obsession, and extremely cold weather, among other things, belongs on this list.

Seeing men standing against gender-based violence is very commendable. While I appreciate the gesture, I think I would've appreciated a ribbon or scarf more considering high heels themselves are violence against women.

I never understood the 'violence against women' campaign. Obviously, the prevention of violence is an immensely positive cause. However, why 'violence against women'? Why not just 'violence'? I'm an advocate for the prevention of animal cruelty, not the prevention of mammal cruelty.

Most of my family immigrated there years ago from South Africa. I was lucky enough to live there for a year and it was the best year of my young life!! The pick up hockey games on your local pond, real maple syrup, Geese always on offensive, the polite Mounties, ohhh I miss Canada!!
