Artist Finishes The Story About The Green Mermaid And It Hits People In The Feels
The story about the Green Mermaid and her love has been featured on Bored Panda before (part one and two)—however, this time, it has come to an end. Ukrainian artist Andy Ivanov has released the final part. The artist went in a different direction and created a prequel to the story release previously. He shows us how the mermaid and the human met, how it all started.
Andy wants everyone to see the complete picture of the story: “I am assuming that my followers will plunge into the very beginning of the story, and then go through the other two parts to the end, thereby obtaining a complete picture.”
Andy manages to combine his beautiful art style and an amazing plot to create something unique and precious. No wonder the illustrations went so viral. They perfectly capture the beauty of nature, love, and emotions, while telling an exciting and wholesome story.

The artist mentioned in his posts that this story is finished and will not be continued, to the dismay of many fans of the series. However, Andy wrote that he will be releasing some illustrations of the couple’s lives and snippets from their adventures. So this isn’t the last time we’ll see the Green Mermaid and her human boyfriend.

There is an event going around similar to Inktober called Mermay. Artists all over the world draw mermaids and anything connected to them. That’s how Andy started to create this wholesome story. In a previous interview, he said: “For the first time, I decided to participate in the annual challenge #mermay. I thought it would be interesting to tie pictures into a little story, instead of doing a different mermaid every day. I didn’t expect such a big resonance.”
“What is this? Some inexplicable feeling…”

Andy has a very unique style, which he mentioned is inspired by popular animation studios like Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks. The artist mentioned that the main message behind his work is that people should respect nature and treat it with love and care. No one should try to own what is not theirs.
“Please live, I’ll bring you a petal of life”

“Do you see this beast?”

“Got caught!”

I really don't like this story. The mermaid really got the short end of the stick the whole way. Then turned into a human at the end. Not a happy story in my book. Also a little too much like Little Mermaid. But at least the little mermaid got to make a choice in her story tho.
"Human" is a crappy transformation. But it's not as crappy as "Elf".
Load More Replies...Part one of the mermaid story was actually one of the first bp posts I saw!
Damn, that is some hardcore cringe. Was this written by a 12 year old?
I'd been so hoping that this would inevitably have a happy ending! YAY!
Wow! This is great in every way! Great art style! Great story! They're so talented!
