Living By The Sea, I Use Low Tide Beaches As Street Artists Would Use The Walls
Living close to the sea, I use low tide beaches as street artists would use the walls. With a rake, I make sand drawings, which sometimes are optical and visual, searching for simple beauty, sometimes broadcasting a message which may be explicit and written directly on the sand.
My work is characterized by geometry and poetry that makes us stop and reflect on the magic of a moment, our relationship with nature, and the very essence of our beings. I take photos from different angles trying to catch the poetry of the moment. After the tide washes it away I make second, this time permanent, artwork, printing the photo on white or brushed aluminium as it contributes specific light, that helps me create the atmosphere I want. I already drew in France, Spain, Morroco, UK, Jersey, Bermudas, Ireland and Portugal, trying to show the beauty surrounding us in original way.
