As we can all imagine, coming up with a brilliant ad that resonates with people is quite challenging. It requires a great deal of creativity and other factors in order to create commercials that linger in our minds, logos that we always recognize, soundtracks that will play in our heads, or billboards that complete their surroundings. These can become masterpieces and even part of popular culture themselves, capable of transforming a small business into a successful beast.
On the other hand, there are the ads that leave us indifferent. We've seen them, we acknowledge their existence... and we quickly forget about them. However, there exists another group within the marketing world — ads that have failed miserably. We witness numerous failures in this realm, ranging from unfortunate word choices in slogans, poor graphic design decisions to coincidental ad placements that convey a completely different story than their creators intended.

As mentioned before, there may be plenty of reasons why some advertisements fail. Sometimes it's simply an unfortunate coincidence. The marketing team ensures that the ad is of the best quality, but then the final product ends up in the wrong place, ruining everything the authors worked so hard to convey. In other cases, it's clear from the start that something went wrong, and the ad makes no sense. This category includes slogans with double meanings or tragically selected words.

We all enjoy a bit of dark humor and silly jokes. Now, intentional or not, a bad advertisement doesn't have to be a total failure. How can we call it a failure when it spreads like wildfire across the internet, making the advertised product even more popular than if the promotion had been decent and “okay”? In the end, it doesn't matter what they say; what's important is that they're talking at all! This holds true when it comes to this topic.

This is a huge thing in cities and it's disgusting to see. Homelessness is never a choice and ridiculously hard to come out from. But here in america, we shame the poor. We barely even have any public retrooms- so congrats on forcing homeless folks to s**t in a bush and lie on the ground..now imag8ne its winter in New England. Not enough shelters, but not one of them is even fit to be called shelters. They boot you out in the cold at 6am and do nothing if you have what minimal possessions you own stolen.

Cities have gone so far into making all public spaces unwelcoming to the homeless that they have made them inhospitable to everyone. There's no place to sit. No place to rest. No place to relax. No public bathrooms and no garbage cans. Well now everyone can shop from home and all public spaces are closed off surrounded by empty store fronts. Who won that war? Because it looks like no one did.

I think the "we're" is actually supposed to be "were". So, "If The Lodge were built in a day", implying that it would be as fragile as that sandcastle if it were built in a day...? And Paul Risk Construction could have built the Lodge (whatever that is) much more awesomer and less fragile, because they're such an awesome construction company. So you should use their construction company, because they don't build sandcastles. Or something XD (Also, they need to get rid of the comma after the word "Lodge". And the second "along".)

I think you're right about the first part, that it's supposed to be 'If the Lodge were built in a day,' but the background looks like an active construction site, and it says 'follow along' at the bottom, which makes me think that they're working on building something called The Lodge (which I just looked up, it seems to be a senior living community in Lewes, Delaware that just opened in 2020, so that fits), and the ad is aiming for a 'Sorry for the inconvenience of the construction, but we can't get this done in a day if we want to do it right!' sort of thing.

That's actually a DAC (digital-to-analog converter), aka external sound card, not an adapter. It can provide better sound fidelity compared to the phone's built-in DAC (which is what you get when you plug headphones in directly). The clue is in the specs: "32 bit, 384 kHz" is higher resolution audio processing than most phones provide onboard. Typically they would top out at 24 bit, 192 kHz.

Ah yes, Texas Republican misinformation. The beginning of development for eyes starts from the 3rd to the 10th week. The cornea, iris, pupil, lens, and retina start developing at about the 7th week.

I assume that the poster people get given three rolls numbered 1 2 3 incorrectly (or left, middle, right). They stick it up, realise it’s wrong, either don’t care because they did what asked, or once the mistake is made it’s hard to peel it off and redo it without the poster crumbling and they don’t have a spare.

Don't question the German Railway (Deutsche Bahn) or you will suddenly hear the sound of a helicopter above your house, see ropes emerging from the craft, see silhuettes in military gear lower down to your rooftop and then ... after a few seconds of silence ... you will hear heavy boots approaching through your hallway ... and then ... ... ... let's say - one better doesn't question the German Railway. ;)

I suspect they were aiming for their ad not being constrained by the limits of the billboard. It is parseable, if you can spend long enough to figure out the first word.

Unpopular opinion: I'd love to see advertising regulated to only show the product, no airbrushing, and information about that product. The world would be a better place.
