He continued: “You can’t be gaming as a dad, as a partner, as a husband.

“It just doesn’t make sense to me.

“Sat there with your headphones on while your missus makes your dinner.”

I am a 50-year-old, black female. I have two Xboxes. One in the living room and the newest one in the bedroom. I have been playing video games since high school. When I am done doing grown up stuff, I game for hours, and sometimes I even stream my games. I have a Twitch account and at one time had a Mixer account until it went defunct. My daughter also has an Xbox and she games too. We have jobs, bills to pay, pets to take care of, family and friends to see. We have lives outside of gaming. What I am trying to say is this, this guy is wack.

Oh Aaron, you sweet summer child. I make dinner while my husband is on the Playstation sometimes. Why? I like cooking and playing video games is one of many ways my husband decompresses after work. On the flip side, my husband runs some errands while I'm on the Playstation sometimes. It's also one of many ways I decompress. Sometimes, we play retro coplayer games on our PS2. Ironically, Aaron looks like Rowan from Epic NPC Man, which is a channel known for its video game based comedic contents.

I'm going to take his comments as saying - you can't be a full time gamer, with no job and no life. Moderation, folks! A Saturday night game night - ok. A marathon session from Sunday morning until Wednesday - no. And if you have a job and a personal life - don't spend every free minute gaming. Spend it actually living.

I play games because they save time and sanity. When I was young, I could spend 6 hours golfing with the buddies on a Saturday morning. Now were are in 4 different states and all have our own lives. We can jump on a co-op game and talk to each other for an hour. We honestly don't care how we do in the game. Its a chance for a friend to vent about their new boss while shooting aliens to relieve the stress of it. That 1 hour of online gaming is worth more than a month of weekly therapy.

I have "stuff to do". I'm a teacher. I have a house. I have myself. I still play video games. It's an amazing way to connect with kids. Did the new season just drop on Fortnite? Did Minecraft get an update? I'll ask them about it, and they get so excited to know that an adult plays (and understands) the games they like. Knowing even just a little bit is such a good way to boost participation and enjoyment in school.

Being a "grown up" means being allowed to do things I like without having to answer to anyone so f*ck off. And if you don't, one on one on Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring whatever I platinumed all. Pick your poison casu

30, mom of 2, and gaming is how my husband and I reconnect after a long day, when the kids are in bed. We play together, and we play with friends. Both my kids are under 3 so if I didn't have gaming I'd be pretty cut off. Let people have their interests and hobbies

He went and got himself strapped with an SO and expensive kid and now he's pissed that he doesn't have the time or, the SO is always nagging at him to get off the XBOX. It's jealousy and being broke.
