Twitter User Tells Males To Not Lean Into Their GFs Because It Makes Them Look Weak, Gets Called Out

Twitter user Rivelino has released a now-viral series of “green line” tweets. It urges men to stop leaning into the women’s world and bring the females into theirs instead.

To get their point across, Revelino shares pictures of heterosexual couples and highlights their postures with green lines. If a man’s line is “leaning” towards the woman’s, he’s needy, weak, and the pathetic beta deserves pity.

Conversely, if a woman’s line is tilted towards a man, she’s submitting to his protection, and the dude’s fine — he’s a strong alpha.

Pretty soon, people started highlighting the flaws in this ridiculous theory, pointing out the toxic masculinity and a million other socially disgusting concepts behind it.

More info: Twitter

Recently, Twitter user Rivelino presented their “green line” theory

These tweets (just like most of the stuff Rivelino shares with their followers) is a perfect example of the ‘manosphere’, a collection of predominantly web-based misogynist ideologies associated with the far-right and alt-right.

Recently, the manosphere has been a subject of feminist scholarship. It has been subjected to serious accusations, blaming it for its role in encouraging misogyny and violent threats towards women online, as well as for potentially radicalizing lonely or dis-enfranchised men.

But people soon started highlighting its flaws

Yes. The one example he gives of a man standing straight is of Jason Statham. He is slightly taller than his wife, but she's no doubt in heels.

You're kidding right? Is this really a thing? This has to be the worst pop-body-language c**p to surface in a while. Its like the person who posted this c**p up read a Psyche 101 page, not even the whole book just a single side of one page, and decided that they knew what they were talking about. Yes, there is some semblance of actual body posturing and language, however red carpet photo's are some of the last ones you would ever want to look at that stuff on. They're posing for 37 different camera's people. It doesn't help that the men are so much taller than the women next to them. Part of that leaning comes from the fact that they know the photo's might get blown up and it gives them a better face view for possible blow ups. Some Celebs hire consultants to learn how to pose on the red carpet. *mutters and storms off*

What a load of tosh! I think leaning in to someone shows you are 'into' them and maybe showing a protective nature... being affectionate has nothing to do with being alpha, beta, gamma or anything else male. I wish these MRM con artists would just pack up their BS pseudo psychological clap trap and leave the rest of us alone.

99.9% of the people in this world slouch.... So I guess everyone is needy? When people lean in, it's due to height differences, trying to get into the frame of a photo that's being taken..or just to cuddle. Not sure where this idiot is getting his info..but if this is his guideline for picking out the perfect mate...he's going to be lonely for a long, long time.

To which extent is he willing to make a fool of himself, mansplaning to women what he expects them to be attracted to ? So many questions here.

I'm not that tall (F 5'7") and I'm always leaning in around shorter family members and coworkers, otherwise, they can't get me in the shot. Sometimes photogs will say, "lean in. Move a little to the left. Lift your right arm just a bit." You "pose" for pictures. Also, I was always under the impression leaning in was a protective stance. Mama bears and hens pull their young under them to keep them close and protect them against threats.

Oh..let me tell you. My parents were both Alphas wanting to control the same household in their own way. It was yelling and screaming matches all the time over petty stuff like where the bread should be stored and how to wash the clothes. It's no surprise they eventually divorced. My mother moved back in with my father for an awkward 3 years. During a rousing argument, I sat them down and explained what it means to be an Alpha and suggested they live in separate homes. My mom moved out within 6 months and they couldn't have been happier after that..no more fighting. Alpha's should never live together. It's not that they can't have wonderful relationships...they just need their own areas and spaces that they can control 100% with no interference.
