Impressive! But as I don't have 3 hours to kill every time I make a meal I just taught my kids to eat the food I lovingly made for them without making a fuss.
Totally agree .. she might be doing this to advertise her talent , but for the kid ! Mmmmmm.. I don't know .
Load More Replies...This is absolutely an Instagram schtick. They are indeed beautiful but they aren’t meals. The video feature as a big portion of eggplant skin (uncooked at that). My guess is that she started making cute meals and it took off. I also believe she makes many at once (the blue from stitch can be used to make eyes, etc). People are so gullible or easily outraged here.
Totally agree! My son is 6 and is Autustic so I've found that involving him in the cooking process in a sensory way is the best way. We are veggies so he can try anything raw as well as cooked and he loves helping himself as we go along. I'm disabled and work part time as well as dealing with his special needs. I don't have time to bugger around!
Sorry, as awesome as it looks, I have also work (in total 9.5 hour with getting there & back), groceries, cleaning up, taking care of my animals, kid, homeworks and a little time to relax. Oh, and sleep. So, hell no, maybe I'd kick something like that for a special occasion, but not everyday just cause my kiddo decides to be fussy with a meal. I appreciate the work and involvement, but in long term that person might be hurting their kid by spoiling it to the limit that he won't eat anything else that doesn't resemble a hero of some sort.
100% agree. Totally wrong approach. This is moulding the kid to become an impossible person when he/she grows up. I also suspect this is "fake news". She just wanted to show off & promote her "talent" using the kid as an excuse.
Load More Replies...When I was a child, we were given two choices at every meal. We could either eat what was on the table or we could starve.
Maybe if it wasn’t dry, stone cold and tasteless looking you wouldn’t have to turn it into art for him to eat. And what a tremendous amounts of food waste. Look, it’s impressive and those are mad skills, but we don’t need the cutesy lies about it being for the kid.
They look great! But how do b you keep it hot? I mean cold mash? Cold lentils???
While growing up, my kids could eat what was cooked or have cereal (hot/cold) or a PBJ, that was it. I never made them eat foods they didn't like but never stopped making a variety of things. I tried to not make meals a big deal they knew exactly what the choices were. This person has amazing talents, perhaps a job in some other capacity to show case these skills, hopefully where no food goes to waste.
I will admit to arranging the vegetables on my kids pizza into the (vague) shape of a dinosaur every now and again, but this is a whole other level and I am not that talented. Who has time for this?
I am so glad that my son is all grown up. The stress of feeling that your artistic talent is not good enough to feed your children healthy food is something no mum needs. Maybe the artist could apply their talent to something a tad healthier, from a psychological point of view.
Lotta haters on here...it's not practical for every meal, but it's still awesome nonetheless.
I made bento lunches through middle and highschool for my daughter and on holidays and special occasions for her friends as well. I really enjoyed it. It really didn't take any longer to use a flower shaped cutter on veggies than it did to just cut them in chunks. I really enjoyed it, and she did too.
Seriously, has your son ever had a hot meal? Because by the time you have finished your creations everything would be stone cold. And wouldn't your time be better spent playing with your son and just spending time with him? He needs that WAY more than his food made in to a cartoon character. I can just see the scenario now; Son comes into the kitchen. "Mommy will you come play with me? " "No, I'm way too busy turning this spaghetti and salmon in to a picture of Rapunzel from Tangled to show off on the internet". Go do something by yourself. Sad. Very very sad.
