It's a place of mystery, traps, colour, intrigue, and warmth. Of course, it has cuteness in abundance.

Great depth of field capturing the child in the band of sharp focus. I used to teach secondary kids about your redheads' projects when I discovered it a few years back over here in Australia. I was amazed and thought it was an outstanding theme. Plus I have a daughter with auburn red locks so I am biased. Cheers.

This one gives me mixed feelings. Cut but kind of looks like she is standing on railroad tracks / ties. That's probably stairs or something but it has a railroad tracks vibe to it. at least the impression it gives me anyway.

It's cute BUT - also I'm laughing because I have watched my grandkids help with stuff like this and you KNOW IRL those clothes are getting dragged through the weeds and arrive at the clothesline (they can't reach) covered in little bits of grass / sticks / dirt. It's the sort of stuff you tolerate when teaching them how to do things / tasks.

READ TO YOUR CHILDREN! I have fond memories of being read to at nap time every day followed by a life long love of reading / imagination / seeking new knowledge. So many wonderful adventures from pages. The OZ books, Hobbit / LOTR, The Phantom Tollbooth, The White Dragon series, Discworld novels. And through the fun stuff came an excellent vocabulary and the ability to read more factual / technical things. We are past the days when the common people were mostly illiterate and had to rely on the rich educated people to tell them what things said. But sadly some folks are not AS past them as they could be.

Beautiful photo Sad image. A child doesn't need to be depressed by the bad daily issues of grownups.

I'm stuck on the boy's hand on this one. No way he is carrying that milk can with two fingers. Probably not even empty. This appears to be one size up from the one we would bring up from the dairy barn every day. (Edit - for personal use. Sale milk was in a huge refrigerated SS tank) 2-3 gallons at a guess. So empty, 3-4 pounds (ish) and full more like 20-28 pounds. (Yes, old farm boy over thinking it. LOL )

True story - my life long best friend and her oldest daughter when daughter was still very young - but old enough to be in bathtub by herself with minimal supervision. Draws bath - kid in - mom doing something in kitchen. Comes back to check on daughter. "Look Mom! ALL MY FRIENDS!" She had gone into her bedroom and put all of her stuffed animals into the tub with her. Thus began the fun of trying to dry out 15 or so totally soggy stuffed animals. It was endearing but also a PITA. lol

Looks like the scene in some movie when the kid figures out she is being hauled off to the orphanage or something.

Flashback: Little sis and I built a pillow fort, cuddled up with a TON of pillows (right in the hallway), and actually read books to each other, not just in our heads but out loud. Mom took too many photos. Dad barged in and told us that it had to be clean by dinnertime. Fun while it lasted :)
