Life Of Ants: I’ve Spent Many Years Documenting These Tiny Hard Workers
This photo series has been an ongoing project for many years to me. It’s been interesting to observe these tiny hard workers and how they work together.
All of the photos have been shot with normal ~100mm macro lens using either Nikon or Pentax cameras. The most challenging shot has to be the second one where the ant is spraying acid on the top of an ice block. That one included also a bit of luck as it was just walking over a tiny ice block when it noticed my hand waving above it as I took a series of images of it. Ant sprays acid as a defense mechanism when it notes some unusual movement around it.
