Confused Macaulay Culkin Asks If He Died Again After Waking Up To Find His Name Trending On Twitter

Whenever we see Macaulay Culkin’s name in headlines, some of us have a mild panic attack and wonder if he left this Earth for real this time. After all, there have been numerous reports of his death before, all of them unfounded.

So when 39-year-old Culkin saw that his name was trending on the net, he turned to his fans and jokingly asked whether the world believes he died again.

Luckily, this time it was good news. Culkin’s name was going viral because the star was cast in the American Horror Story’s upcoming 10th season (though we’ll have to patiently wait until September 2020 for it).

Probably the most well-known death hoax related to Culkin happened in 2014 when somebody created a fake Facebook memorial page for the actor. However, the hoax (and others like it) were soon discredited by Culkin and his team.

And here’s proof that Culkin is starting to outgrow his role as Kevin on Home Alone

American Horror Story isn’t Culkin’s only claim to fame in recent days. Not long ago, he was also on Esquire’s cover where he talked about having auditioned for Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.”

“It was a disaster. I wouldn’t have hired me. I’m terrible at auditioning anyway, and this was my first audition in like eight years,” Culkin was candid during his interview with Esquire.

All of this has us thinking—is Culkin making a slow-but-steady comeback? We certainly hope so because it’s about time Culkin outgrew his peak as Kevin in Home Alone. Though we’ve previously mentioned how much we’d love it if he played a role in a Home Alone reboot as a grown-up.

A few years ago, the actor had joked that he is “effectively retired” and how he takes walks at 4 am in New York to avoid harassment. In an interview with The Guardian’s Rhik Sammader, the star opened up about his serious substance abuse problems with everything from liquor and pills to soft and hard drugs alike.

Some Twitter users were super supportive of Culkin’s new role
