Man Makes A Mocking Post Poking Fun At LinkedIn Influencers And People Are Cracking Up

As you most likely already know, LinkedIn is a social media platform which is considered to be the word’s largest professional network on the internet. Most people seem to be using it to create an online resume, look for jobs or internships, look for potential candidates, and search for new connections. Though there are people who are pretty active on the platform, and at this point, it would be appropriate to call them LinkedIn influencers.

Recently, a post on Twitter went viral in which a guy shared a hilarious, made-up “success story” created by a LinkedIn user meant to poke fun at Linkedin influencers.

This post on Twitter currently has over 400k likes as well as almost 80k retweets

After some digging, we found out that this story shared by Lumo Solwandle on LinkedIn was actually inspired by one created by another LinkedIn user named Nikhil Narayanan.

And here’s the original post created by a user named Nikhil Narayanan on LinkedIn

Many people agreed with the message this parody was portraying

Some people even started turning this story into memes

Some were intrigued by the story and had questions to ask

I find a lot of professional value on LinkedIn but do see a plenty of people treating it like Facebook and other social media. Some folks see it as another means of getting attention. Don't feed the beast.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll destroy the whole narcissism trend if we keep ridiculing it like this. Don't give up, people!

When I had an active LinkedIn profile I'd get suggestions for potential jobs that I wasn't even remotely qualified for. I have no idea how their algorithms work, except... they don't.

Awww, the original post by Nikhil Narayanan is gone and I can't find it. Does anyone know what it said?

I hate these ads on Youtube. Everyone of them uses the same f*cking format. Their story line is exactly the same an goes like this, "____'s boss is hiding a secret. ____ leaves work to show it the world. ____ has many benefits like ___ and ___. Don't get scammed by big businesses."

My old boss is on LinkedIn he is a serial sexual harasser and sexual assaulter. Yes more than one woman has and had made complaints and went to the police. Nothing happened to him at all. Three of the women are suing him bc they have video from a secret camera recording he had but none of us others have any recourse besides outing him on LinkedIn hoping we don't get sued. His name is Leon Barnett and he is a sexual assaulter

The undercover boss spinoff, "undercover interviewer". The idea is to find out which canidate is the best for the job by seeing how they react to certain situations.

I've avoided LinkedIn so far. Managed to score three jobs without it (lost two during lockdown), so don't really see the point. Looks like I'm not missing much.
