Lightning And Rainbow Captured Together In Once In A Lifetime Shot
It’s been 7 years since Greg McCown has been trying to photograph a lightning bolt and rainbow in one shot. The spectacular image the 42-year-old- real estate salesperson saw once when driving to work in Arizona left such an impression that he knew he had to shoot it someday. He finally succeeded.
A basic DSLR camera kit is enough, says McCown, however, it’s not an easy quest as you have to guess where the lightning will strike. “Our reaction time to see lightning and hit the trigger in time to catch it just are not fast enough,” McCown said. “So I used a lightning trigger – this is a small device that sits on top of the camera, senses the lightning and fires the trigger.”

Zounds! This is exquisite: I so hope this is "for real" and not computer-generated!
This is quite the phenomenon! I love this shot. It's beautiful. Good work to the photographer who captured this!
Ooh, wonderful! I wish I'd had one of these in my head, I once saw lightning like this flash between a double rainbow against the dark grey sky. Burned into my memory but no photo.
What dedication! He's been trying to get this shot for 7 years!!! Awesome in the true sense of the word!
Lightening trigger? Yea that's cheating a lucky shot. Stunning none the least.
