Everyone needs a little break from the news these days. I drew these comics after seeing so many anxiety-provoking articles and wanted to stay sane by drawing out something lighthearted from them. I've got two young kids (5 and 3 months!) and I am sheltering in place in California.

Every day I’m so busy and don’t have much downtime, but I have gotten such positive reception to my comics that it keeps me going. People have told me that they are "a relief" and a "balm in this tense time." I feel like everyone is trying to help out, and this is just my little way of contributing―to provide a laugh that can bring people together.

During the day, in the various five-minute increments I have, I'll try to think of the idea, and then in the evening, I will try to draw it up. The days are draining and a bit repetitive, so challenging myself to keep a positive attitude and find something funny with a comic is my outlet. Some people drink wine or watch TV, and I like to draw. I hope people around the world enjoy the bit of humor I'm trying to bring to our shared situation.

This. Once I saw a very stressed mother with two hyperactive kids getting on the metro. She did her best to keep them in one place but when she didn't look for one second, the boy licked the handrail and went on as if he did nothing.

From what I’ve read in the news lately, Western Australia has already officially given him essential classification so he can freely move around the country.

And isn't that something beautiful in all the craziness! Time is the most precious gift of all.

My vet says she has a "pasta drawer" at home which got invaded by a mouse--it chewed a hole in every pasta package except the whole wheat. Even rodents don't like whole wheat pasta.

the reason everyone is stocking uo on toilet paper is because there are two types of toilet paper, and residential toilet papereveryone is staying at home and not going to their jobs. workplaces and schools and stuff use commercial toilet paper which is like 1 ply, residential toilet paper is for homes and that's 2ply. since everyone is staying at home not many people are buying commercial, and everyone is buying residential, because the people staying at home have tripled since quarantine started!

Forgot to draw the chain that attaches you to your desk. Management thinks you’re not working if you’re home, so load you down with double-triple the work you’d be given if you were in the office like normal. To the point where you get no break, no lunch, no time to get up and get something to drink or go to the bathroom, if you want to be done by quitting time (and you still work 30-60 minutes past anyway). Not to mention all their last minute (and often within 1-2 hours before the end of the day) brain farts that take a big chunk of time to decipher and put together—-but they expect you to send back completed like 10 minutes after they mention them (without expressly saying they want you to drop everything and work on them NOW). Oh, and get all your pile of other tasks done too.

We owe a lot to the overworked health care workers! Many bright blessings on all of them.
