40 Adorable Comics That Hilariously Sum Up What It’s Like Living With A Dog By This Artist (New Pics)
Mochi the pug is not your average dog. The furbaby is the sweetest blub whose life is full of excitement and joy de Vivre (if we agree upon the fact that doggos are also capable of feeling this posh-sounding emotion) in all the little daily things he goes through. In fact, it seems that Mochi’s main task is being a cute dog, which he totally nails day by day.
The adorable pug is also the inspiration for the comic series of Spanish artist Gemma Gené, who currently resides in New York. Gemma’s adorable drawings featuring herself, the charming Mochi, and his two rescued brothers Huey and Duey have won the hearts of 338k followers on her Instagram page “157ofgemma.”
And it all started with Gemma missing her cute pug so much while at work that she started scribbling some cartoon drawings of him on the subway. Little did she know, they were destined to become a hit among cartoon enthusiasts and dog people who find Gemma’s funny comics more than relatable.
After you're done, don't forget to check out more of Mochi and Gemma's daily adventures in our previous post right here.

To find out more about the creator of the adorable Mochi comics, Bored Panda reached out to Gemma Gené, who said she started posting comics on Instagram and realized that people relate to them so much. “A comment that I get a lot is 'do you have cameras in my home because my dog does the exact same thing!'” she said.
“As it turns out, what I thought was so unique about Mochi is common in many dogs! We accidentally created a very supportive dog-loving community that has gradually grown over time.”
Gemma also said she has tried to be very consistent about posting comics on their daily life together. With time, her drawing style has changed, more characters were added, and two new members came to Mochi and Gemma’s family. “It’s Mochi’s twin chihuahua brothers, the Twinchis, or Mochi’s BFF Ben.”
The artist also said that her drawing skills have improved and her style has evolved. Previously, she would only draw by hand as a way to escape from sitting in front of a computer all day. Now, Gemma is back to working on a computer. “I started adding colors some time ago. I also do animations from time to time, which is very exciting to me.”
Just like for most of us, the year 2020 has had its own challenges for Gemma and Mochi. “I work from home, so in that sense, it didn’t really change much. Only when the parks started closing down, Mochi was no longer able to run free and see his friends. Meanwhile, I stopped all the activities I used to do outside the house, but Mochi and the Twinchis loved that.”
My lady actually loves taking shower. After the shower she also runs through the house like a crazy doggo
Gemma confessed that for the most part, the pandemic has been “sad and nerve-wracking” as she wasn’t able to see the family for this whole year. “Being away from them has been very hard, and you just want everyone to be safe and it is scary.”
On a brighter note, Gemma announced that she’s pregnant, so Mochi and the Twinchis will have a new sister soon! “2020 has been a year of changes and preparation for the new family addition and hopefully 2021 will be a happy year for everyone,” she concluded. And we can’t wait to see the new comics featuring their expanded family!
This is so adorable! reminds me of my late goldendoodle chloe. rip- miss u old girl
Same with my old guy 😂. Once I went out in the pouring rain with him. After a couple of meters I looked around and wondered where he is. I was searching the area - no Jacky around. When I went home I found him sitting in front of my flat door. He instantaniously turned around when he saw the rain. I was soaked to the bone and he looked like as to say: Well dude, I told you.😏
My two dogs do this. I always make myself uncomfortable before them haha
