It should come as no surprise that we love cats. Yes, these little beings can be hard to understand sometimes, but their cuteness redeems all the mischievous deeds they might have done (accidentally or not). Living with a cat is never dull and we can prove that.

Lingvistov is back on Bored Panda with even more colorful webcomics depicting the funny realities of owning a cat: torn toilet paper, clothes covered in fur, early begging for food, lazy lounging and other shenanigans that cat owners might relate to. Scroll down and take a look at these funny comics.

The illustrator Landysh has previously revealed to Bored Panda that she has been drawing since she was a kid, but she has never studied art as her mother didn’t allow it. Fortunately, that never stopped her from doing it.

The artist has graduated from a linguistic university and never went to an art school, so the illustrations are a result of passion, determination and purposeful work.

RELATED:

The journey of Lingvistov started when the artist launched a website, which initially was a school of English. Landysh decided to add her illustrations there to make it stand out from other schools.

The artworks received a lot of attention after the artist shared them on Bored Panda. It "forced" her to reinvent her business and focus on drawings only.

From coming up with an idea to finishing the drawing it's an absolutely exciting process for the Lingvistov team. "It's a little adventure every time." However, there are some challenges that the artist has to overcome. Landysh revealed that the most challenging thing for her at the moment is not to let herself burn out. "It's hard work because it's both manual and intellectual, so it is easy to work yourself into the ground. You want to do so much! And it takes longer to recover after you burn out. So for me, it's finding a balance between rest and work."

If you're thinking of starting drawing comics yourself, Lingvistov has some advice for you! "My biggest advice is to be personal and authentic, to draw and write about things that you know. You won't believe how many people will relate to that. That was probably the most surprising thing for me - discovering that someone can see themselves in the comics I make. Another important thing is not to stop, because success is not something that happens overnight - it takes hard work and time."

Lingvistov is currently working on a book - the first collection of Landysh's comics! "We're cooperating with a very old printing company in our small town. Usually, they print serious books and they told me they love printing our calendars, it's a good change from their serious book routine. And some of the people who work there even have my comics on their desks! It is the best compliment I could hope for, for sure."

My two female cats, Smudgy and Tabitha, tend to grab a big mouthful of food out of the bowl, and drop on the floor in front of the bowl to eat smaller pieces of it. Of course, I end up having to scrape the dried, stuck-on, crumbs of food off the kitchen floor later in the morning.

Mine know their names, including their nicknames. They may not know the word “No”, but they sure as hell know that particular tone of voice we use when we say it to them!

My furry wake up call is usually my youngest cat, Tabitha, licking my face. She’s a real kissy cat for some reason. Sounds nice, right? Maybe, at first. After that, nope.

Luckily our cats are terrified of the bathroom, as it has lots of water and water-sounds. 😅

Third panel could be “My Other Cat”, and a picture of the scratch pad being totally ignored, unused, and collecting dust.

I have both. Two very different cats. One who patiently sighs and one bitey little terror. 😹

And they usually don’t—-but not until they’ve licked it so you can’t eat it. You know, “I don’t want it, but I’m going to make sure nobody else can have it”.

Through the years, and I mean decades, my cats seem to zero in on one coveted spot in bed next to me, and will even have disputes over who is entitled to it. Usually, the winner is the oldest cat, but sometimes it’s just whoever gets there first. The spot is on my left side, in the curve of my torso when I sleep on that side—-basically, the spoon—-and it means I will put my arm over them and hug them. Yeah, I can see why it’s a coveted spot.

If you have a cat, you will inevitably have occasion to hear a mystery thump, crash, or other sound like something falling, and possibly breaking, that requires immediate investigation. Even if it’s 2 o’clock in the morning—-hell, especially then, because you don’t know if there’s something that’s now leaking all over the floor and/or furniture.
