“I’m not in control of my body type,” Hyland says to those who are body shaming her by saying she’s anorexic or she should “eat a burger”. In her message, the actress reveals she has had a rough year as she has been put on bed rest for the last couple of months due to health problems. In 2012, Hyland underwent a kidney transplant after battling kidney dysplasia. Share on FacebookIt is such a shame that so many people think it is acceptable to hide behind a computer and criticize someone, without even considering the circumstances behind that person. Sickening. Some days, I am such a misanthrope - I just hate people in general nowadays.
Internet made me a misanthrope too. It's just too much sometimes. People show the real them when anonymous, and it's sickening.
Load More Replies...I'm so sick of the criticism of women's bodies. Too thin, too fat, too curvy, not curvy enough, too muscled and the obsession for what she wears. Enough. A woman changes the world because of what she does. To limit her to her appearance limits her and all girls and women who consume that message.
I don't know what her circumstances, but in college I had a classmate who was (probably still is) 89 lb. soaking wet at 4' 11" height. She was born with intestinal cancer and had about 2/3rds of her small intestines removed shortly after birth. As a result she had to eat voraciously just to maintain what weight she had. And no, it's no fun having to eat to the point of being sick every day just to end up being underweight. Morale - looks can be deceiving. Back off the spot judgement.
