I don't particularly like the way they look and I should imagine that dogs really would take some time to get used to them. However two dogs have died in the last two weeks in my small village from CRGV (Cutaneous and Renal Glomerular Vasculopathy) also known as Alabama Rot. If they are right in thinking that it's from walking in muddy areas maybe these leggings could actually help save lives. Something to think about.

If this were actual protective wear, I can see the purpose. For the aesthetic, though, these look ridiculous. It's okay to not dress most dogs.

It's okay to not dress ALL dogs. If your dog needs to be dressed up, it's either the wrong dog for the climate you're living in, so you basically f****d up when considering what dog to get. Or, the other possibility, it's one of those overbred abominations that only exist due to "aesthetics", like modern pugs that almost suffocate all the time because some people find it to look nice. One just shouldn't get such a dog in the first place, for the sake of your pet's livability. To sum it up, if your dog needs clothing, you f****d up when getting it.

They look weird, but could be easier to get on your dog than boots to protect from snow/salt in the winter. And perhaps stay on better too.

Yeah I was just thinking that. We have a smaller rescue dog with severe separation anxiety and so he goes with us everywhere. He is a single coat dog and doesn't do well in the cold and the salt does hurtful things to his paws but it's also hard for him to keep dog shoes on as they tend to come off when he runs around. Something like this would work well for his case.
