We humans are very weird creatures, when you think about it. We are all so different, but also, there are so many things about what we agree on. For example, using a urinal next to another person while there are many others available is very creepy and not normal. Or, for instance, standing on your porch in the middle of the night. You know, I am speaking about things which are legal and there are no rules forbidding them, but it still feels creepy and seeing somebody do it makes you feel uneasy.

Hold that thought, though, because recently one Redditor asked folks to name things which are perfectly legal but are creepy as hell. Community members shared many different weird things, starting from creating websites that count when celebrities turn 18, finishing with walking down the street with a glass of water. So buckle up, check out the best, or to be more specific, the creepiest things and write what makes you feel weird in the comments!

30 Creepy Things That Are Actually Perfectly Legal, Pointed Out By Folks Online The fact that Epstein’s client list hasn’t been released

Grimmer097 , Pixaba Report

Bored Panda got in touch with the author of this thread, u/ArpanMondal270, and he kindly agreed to share more insights behind the inspiration of this discussion and favorite responses.

“Much of the internet is repetition. Statistics say the same for the front page of the internet - Reddit.”

So the author says that claiming that this thread was an original creation of his would be a downright lie. However, all of our ideas come from somewhere else. “As Tarantino says, ‘I steal from every single movie.’ I stole it too and then edited. The original form was - 'What is something creepy but legal in the US?'" the Redditor shares.

“And at past 1AM when I was creeping around r/askreddit, the idea clicked. That's how I started that thread.”

I am not planning on having children, but I think the idea they are property is wrong. My parents weren't the greatest, but they were OK. No abuse, little judgement, and they clearly loved me. They also taught me I am my own person.

in the UK here it's illegal after 7pm for unsolicited callers to do that (hawking it's called I believe).... friends and family are obviously exempt (though I'd welcome them banned too ! ) ......also remember you are under no legal obligation to actually answer your door if someone knocks on it

In the UK we also have no cold calling zones, which if broken get the caller's company huge fines.

Last weekend, two ladies, one of them wielding an iPhone rang the doorbell to lecture me about "hope" in the bible. "What's wrong with this picture?" I said to myself. My brother-in-law used to own a large truck. He was under the truck working on something when two Jehovah's Witnesses walked up and started talking. He slid his boots off, leaving them leaning agains each other so that the toes were pointing up. He then slid out from under the truck on the other side, went into the house, and made himself a coffee. They talked to his boots for at least 15 minutes.

You can state that you do not welcome solicitors by putting a no soliciting sign on your door or notifying solicitors directly. When they come to your door. Solicitors must obey that notification on penalty of trespassing in my state.

Sadly not illegal in the US. Some HOAs have rules, as do some apartment complexes, declaring such activities as trespassing. There can also be local ordinances limiting or restricting solicitors (religion is generally exempt). But they are rarely enforced. I am constantly interrupted by these a**holes, even though I had a big, loudly colored sign on my door telling all solicitors to f**k off. I've just stopped answering the door.

But there is no restrictions on the kind of animal DATA you use for research, as long as you didn't collect the data from living animal subjects in an EU member state.

So you can USE data that was drawn from animals living in the most appalling conditions and in contravention with any and all animal welfare standards and its perfectly legal.

Just curious, but why not? I'm trying to think of how it impinges on others, unless it's a crowded train/subway station platform where you're waiting. Again, the person may have physical ailments that preclude them from standing. I had to bring a small folding chair with me when I was crippled (hip dysplasia). Both standing and sitting were very difficultfor me, as my hip was literally coming out of the socket. but I found one particular chair that was small ,portable, and allowed me to sit at an angle that accommodated my hip , which couldn't bend to 45 degrees (think of a metal ball and socket, where if you pull it out a bit, it no longer rotates smoothly). So, yeah, I hated carrying that chair, it was embarrassing and a pain, but I needed it
