I am Allen Shaw, a Berlin-based Indian artist, illustrator, and storyteller. I love Autumn and every year I do a series of illustrations based on this beautiful season. This year has been a little different, instead of painting the leaves, I have been collecting them and photographing them, and adding watercolor illustrations to them. I already did a post a month ago with this technique and the overwhelming response prompted me to do some more.

I recently discovered the pretty leave of the Ginkgo Biloba, I had seen pictures of these leaves before but boy, in reality, they are from some other world, the form, the scale, and the color, everything seems so right about it.

So I decided to do a series dedicated to artists and performers. Some of these photos are pre-planned where I arrange leaves in a specific way and some are random compositions, after taking the photos I simply make the watercolor drawings and I bring them together digitally. I really enjoy doing these and I hope you have fun going through them.
