The Clitoris: This Adorable Animation Explains Clitoris Like No One Else

It was celebrated in ancient Greece, ignored during the Middle Ages, and rediscovered by scientists over and over before the scientific community finally agreed that it exists. What are we talking about? Clitoris, the glorious part of the female reproductive system, of course!

Never have cartoons for adults been so informative, charming in a way and relatable than this creation of a Canadian screenwriter and animation director Lori Malépart-Traversy. She has decided to educate the internet on what that elusive clitoris actually is in her unexpectedly cute cartoon. And she’s done it in the most adorable and funny cartoon, which has already picked up multiple awards around the world including the Best Short Film Award at Festival Vues d’en face 2017 and the Best Documentary at Chicago Feminist Film Festival 2017. After watching this crazy cartoon, you’ll get why it is so highly prized.

So put on your science cap, prepare for some cute animation, and let’s get educated!

I love how the narration talks about the MEN who discovered the clitoris. Well I'm pretty sure women had discovered them LONG before any man since it is a part of our body! But I also understand the sarcasm that was clearly stated in the film with that part. Loved it!

I think the whole discovery thing about external organs is ridiculous, it's always been there just that people were too stupid to note it

I dont know what the fuss is about, it's not some secretive spot, any man who pays attention to their woman will know exactly what it is and how important it is to the female orgasm

Such a great video! But one presentation is totally wring. Hysteria was not thought to be amused by orgasms, but rather cured by it.

Thats exactly how i knew it too. Doctors actuallyused a device to "cure" hysterical women. They liked it so much they often feigned histeria xD

I don't know how people didn't think it existed or anything like that. It's... it's right there, can't miss it if you've seen female genitalia.

I will now never be able to remove the phrase "clitoral obscurantism" from my brain.

What a lovely way to describe the clitoris. Through out my life, I have to admit, I really didn't know much about the clitoris myself. We silly Americans can be so uptight about talking about sex and our sexual organs. I do admire most Europeans for their freedom in discussing these delicate subjects.

It's certainly a good beginning to have more information on the whole clitoris. Now we just need to include all of the rest of the structures of the female erectile network. That's right -- there's more to discover! To see images and descriptions of the whole female pleasure apparatus, go here: https://intimateartscenter.com/be-vulva-wise/ Beyond the blog post mentioned above (and many other posts on the topic of female genital anatomy) I also invite you to check out my online course and books including Women's Anatomy of Arousal Book - Secret Maps to Buried Pleasure at https://intimateartscenter.com/shop/the-book-womens-anatomy-of-arousal/ and https://intimateartscenter.com/womens-anatomy-of-arousal-recorded-online-course/ FI-VulvaWi...668ef1.jpg FI-VulvaWise_V4-595c179668ef1.jpg

Not terribly accurate about several things, particularly Freud. Also, why does this exist? Are there people who don't know what a clitoris is?

It exists because it's about history and it is still a neglected and demystifying body part today. Some people need to be taught how sex can be pleasurable and not to feel guilty or dirty about it.
