Even if this mask had plastic on the inside (which may also hamper its efficacy), it looks like a simple mesh. And the message this sends to some people is obvious: "if you are famous you are not bound to rules" and, particularly to children, "wearing a proper mask is not so important". Thereby, it was not a clever move.

This must stop immediately. It seems that people who have certain fame, be it singers, influencers or politicians are exempt from laws that seem to apply to only us laymen. I've seen it happen too many times. Also, in Lana's case, if there was plastic inside, how could she breathe? People claim it's hard for them to breathe even with cloth or surgical masks, yet here she is breathing through plastic. (If I'm wrong sorry in advance)

Even if the mask had plastic on the inside, people should still maintain social distancing. Why are these people going no feet instead of 6 feet?

But why not just wear a regular mask, though? Even if it can somehow protect her, it looks dangerous. And without any explanation, someone might misunderstand and follow suit. At a time like this, who wouldn't be sensitive. As a public figure, she should have been more careful.

Get a life people! Every mask provides little to NO protection! Did you know that the size of sperm is larger than the virus and even that can escape enclosures. Do you actually believe that a piece of fabric is going to protect you from anything besides maybe a sunburn?

Even if it had plastic, there's no evidence to show that would make it an effective mask -- cloth absorbs micro droplets, plastic would just deflect them out the sides of the mask. Face shields have been shown to be ineffective at blocking covid for the same reason -- the aerosols just come out from behind the shield. (face shields with masks, however are a different story since they'll keep the larger droplets out of your eyes)

Thing is, people believe what they want to. They ignore evidence that disputes them and cling on to the tiniest morsel that supports what they want to believe. Tell people what they want to believe and they will. Lying has been shown to be the best way to deal with the masses.

Can I ask: If there were to be plastic on the inside, how would you breath? Wouldn't the plastic get all wet and would you not have trouble breathing under plastic. Seems like a pretty exhausting way to spend the day ?! Or am I missing something...

If it’s plastic wouldn’t she have suffocated? People are pretty clear about how putting plastic on your mouth and nose may kill you. Also eff off at the “I’m making two albums and donating money to charity” it takes all of 20 seconds to explain that your mask had plastic in it, surely you aren’t working and donating 24/7 without even a minute to post about this stuff. How can they be haters when they didn't know the mask had a plastic covering. All people want to express is that she should be wearing a masks that helps protect others. If Lana would have been smart she would have put a note next to the pic that it has plastic in the mask

It shouldn't be foggy if it had plastic? Also as a public figure she must be smarter and wear a proper mask because, as we have discovered during this pandemic, there is A LOT of stupid people out there who use any reason not to wear a proper mask. And unfortunately those stupid people use influencers, singers, etc as their role models. With or without plastic sadly for her she has to be an example for those idiots out there.
