Hungarian artist Agnes Herczeg blends incredibly intricate lace art with knotty wooden pieces of wood and it looks ethereal. Her carefully crafted figures are a calming celebration of our connection with mother nature and the juxtaposition of the looseness of the lace and the solidity of the wood is the link that holds everything together.

Herczeg studied textile conservation at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, and perfected several methods of embroidery and lace-making that empowers her to push the boundaries of those crafts in each and every piece she makes.

I believe this is the most imaginative one I have seen so far. The fact that she has taken real limbs, dropped from neighboring trees, and a portion cut out to represent a "window to the Heavens" adds to its authenticity. Thumbs Up!

The way they look like just shapes at first and then turn into people... Amazing!
