Kylie Jenner Had The Audacity To Ask People To Donate Money On GoFundMe For Her Former Makeup Artist, So Here’re 30 Of The Best Reactions
The 23-year-old entrepreneur with an estimated net worth of $900 million caused a stir on social media after seeking donations for makeup artist Samuel Rauda’s medical bills. Rauda got into a car accident last weekend, and Kylie Jenner took it to her Instagram to request that her fans contribute to Rauda’s GoFundMe account.
Meanwhile, an account under Jenner's name on GoFundMe shows a donation of $5,000. But Kylie’s fans were less than impressed. Critics decried Forbes' highest-paid celebrity of 2020, claiming that with all that net worth, it would have been only fair if Kylie covered Rauda’s expenses herself.
Later, the star addressed the backlash, explaining that Rauda was not her current MUA but “After learning in more detail about the accident it compelled [her] to visit his GoFundMe which was set at [$10,000]." Since they'd already raised 6k, she felt like adding another 5k to reach the initial goal, Kylie stated.

Well, to be fair, that's pretty much the game plan of every billionaire.
Kylie Jenner has an estimated net worth of $900 million, but this weekend, she encouraged her fans to donate to a GoFundMe account for makeup artist Samuel Rauda’s medical expenses.
People on social media immediately went into a frenzy escalated by the fact that Kylie herself added a “moderate” $5,000 to the initial $10,000 plea. After the story went viral, donations for Samuel’s GoFundMe rocketed up to $100,031 of its new $120,000 goal.
But critics felt that Kylie donating a mere sum of her billion-dollar fortune and asking her fans to add to the cause was just too much. They claimed that in turn, she could have easily paid the whole amount herself if she really cared about the cause as much as she claimed.

Better question is how much work hours has it cost her? Say she got that "from nothing" in 6years that's $150M/Y or $3M/week = $3000K/40h = $75K/h ---- DONATING $5K IS 4MIN WORK TIME'S WORTH!?! Literally going over there, donating, and posting a request for money (10min? so $12.5K?) costs her more than the 5+5K in the fund after her donation. Please double-check my numbers (and no I cannot be bothered to look up if 6y is fair)

On Monday, Kylie took to her Instagram to address the backlash. "I saw my current makeup artist and friend Ariel post about Sam's accident and his family's GoFundMe... it compelled me to visit his GoFundMe which was set at 10K."
The 23-year-old entrepreneur also wrote that she "thought I'd post on my stories to gain more awareness if anyone also felt compelled to share or donate. I don't know how all of this got so twisted but his family has reached out through Ariel and are very appreciative..."

Charlotte Clymer, director of communications and strategy at Catholics for Choice, tweeted in response that "Folks are defending Kylie Jenner by pointing out she donated $5,000 to her makeup artist's medical GoFundMe. Her net worth is $900M. So, that's 0.000006% of her net worth. If your net worth were, say, $100k, it would be like donating 56 cents." The tweet amassed 38.3k likes and went viral.

Social class is based on income, education, and occupation and varies from one person to another. However, Jennifer added that when it comes to “social status which is based more in respect and admiration from others, it's not clear to me that social status would have the same relationship to compassion, prosociality, and empathy as a social class has.”

Illegal immigrants are not welcomed in, they have to sneak in because of a wait that can take months or even years, when they just want to escape horrible conditions in their own country. Americans don't have free healthcare, so illegal immigrants have to pay for it, just like citizens. Illegal immigrants can't register for voting, so there are no illegal votes for the liberal candidates.

My family, my real friends (not the fake “long lost relatives” who tend to come out of the woodwork when someone suddenly has money), and really deserving strangers would have nothing to worry about. Friends and family for life, deserving strangers for the duration of their legitimate needs. Me, personally? I don’t need big houses and lots of cars, etc. Nice house, nice but not flashy car, investments for retirement, a little fun money and I’m good. That leaves a lot left over to give away. Anonymously.

If I had that kind of money, my friends, family, and as many homeless animals as possible would be set. And I'd be travelling the world - Economy - to see where else my money could help people and animals. Schools? Check. Sex education? Check. Shelters for battered women (and men) and children? Check. Wildlife refuges and sanctuaries? Check. Scholarships for kids who can't afford post-secondary? Check. Job creation in my animals sanctuaries, shelters, etc.? Check. Can't take it with me, so I'd make sure I spread the money as far and wide as possible.

There is a cathedral in Belgrade and for its painting alone they paid 40 mil euro. 40 mil euro for the paintings alone. Do you know how much Covid equipment could have been bought with that? How many hospitals helped? How many people saved? The cathedral in Bucharest has almost the same area and the church just put up a webesite to ask people for money to paint it. I see no hospitals built by the church, but boy we have a gilded cathedral! Just what we needed! The hypocrisy of the church and the fraud and the fact that they don't even have an ounce of decency makes me want to vomit every time I see that building. I honestly pray it burns down. Because all they money the government (yes, they also paid for it) gave and the donations are as good as thrown into the fire. Meanwhile, the hospitals kill people with the lack of equipment, medical staff, and widespread infections with hospital super bacteria. It is a joke. Our country is a joke.

Its controversial, Einstein, because instead of putting it out to her "millions of followers"...she very easily could have used her millions of dollars, paid for the damn thing, and told his family to KEEP the money that was donated for his future expenses. He will need it, brain surgery takes some time and rehab to fully recover from. She probably would not have even noticed the movement in her bank account, seeing as though she makes over $19k an HOUR.

I viscerally hate this kind of people. They care only about themselves. It's insulting to see that 'donation'. God, if I had so much money, I'd use it for things people can benefit from. I'm not just saying: we, 'the poor', in comparison to these botched up dolls, know what life is like and have the sense and conscience to help eachother. And, helping is natural and making others happy, makes us happy, it gives life a meaning... This billionaire family are just the lowest of the lowest and anyone who buys their products, is complicit.
