This Online Community Shares Adorable Side-By-Side Comparisons Of Cats Now And When They Were Little (50 New Pics)
InterviewWhat you're about to experience might be the most pleasant thing that happened to you today. Get ready to melt while looking at cute images showcasing the transformation of little kittens into big tigers! Well, maybe it's a bit of an exaggeration, but still, these side-by-side comparisons shared by the members of the 'Cat Grows' online community are a great example of how time moves quickly and how our beloved pets grow and change. Always too quickly, but hey, it doesn't mean they stop being our little babies, right? No matter how big those fluffs become, they always behave like kiddos who you can forgive for even the biggest mischief.
Scroll down and enjoy the list of adorable before and after images, as well as read about this community from its founder, Julia.

Kittens tend to develop thicker coats between the ages of 1-3. The thicker coating may give the appearance of a darker color. That said, I think the saturation of the photo was raised.

This time we decided to contact her again and ask a couple more questions about this wonderful community of cat lovers.
Asked what types of discussions or interactions occur within the community aside from sharing photos, Julia mentioned: “Usually, each publication is accompanied by the owner's story about his pet: the story of his appearance, character, and funny stuff. We often organize themed days on breeds and colors of cats, and every day we talk about cats who need a home. We managed to find new families for dozens of cats. I love it!”
This is awesome! We adopted our Samothy last year, but never knew him as a kitten. He looks just like this beautiful floof... it's fun to see what he would have looked like as an itty-bitty kitty! :)
I love cats with bibs. Of course, I also love cats without bibs, so there you go.
We were wondering if there were any myths or misconceptions that the community has helped debunk or clarify. The founder of Cat Grows shared with us: “Our members sometimes share not only funny and kind stories, but also sad fates of their cats. Many of them are associated with a lack of understanding of the psychology and physiology of cats. For example, some people believe that cats are incapable of accidentally falling out of a window, and if they fall, they will definitely land safely on four paws. Unfortunately, this is not true. The abundance of such stories has shown that this is a serious problem, and we are trying to fight such misconceptions.”
This reminds me so much of my cat that passed 7 yrs ago. Thank you
This one looks remarkably like Bouche. Her main color is light grey, although her back is a bit darker.
Bouche's biggest secret is where she hid her plastic spring toy. Even Audi doesn't know. That's the one toy she won't let him have.
Load More Replies...We also wanted to find out how Julia sees the community benefiting cat owners and enthusiasts in the long run. She said: “We are currently working on a guide about responsible cat keeping. We do it together with veterinarians, experienced volunteers and modern zoopsychologists. Our mission is to make the lives of cats safer and happier by educating their owners.”
The eyes changed colour! (That’s probably something super normal but it just looks really cool)
Cat's eyes generally change to a darker color.
Load More Replies...What a beautiful cat. Don't anyone tell Bouche or Audi I said that.
Lastly, we wanted Julia to explain to the individuals interested in joining the Cat Grows community how they can get involved and share their own cat growth stories. We found out that: “We will be glad to see you in our VK group and the Telegram channel.”
Unfortunately the folded ears are caused by a hereditary disease in cats called OCD that deforms and destroys the cartilage and joints, not unlike osteoarthritis. The poor things will be in pain for most of their short lives. As cute as they look, I just want to cry when I see another Scottish Fold. It's a torture breed and forbidden in a lot of countries. 😔

I was in cat rescue for many years and had three Folds, they all had problems with mites and it was more difficult to treat than in straight eared cats.
Most kittens are born with blue eyes 💙 it changes later on
Load More Replies...MORE WARRIOR CATS FANSSSS yes it does look like Yellowfang :')
Load More Replies...The expression on the kitten's face is adorable.
Would certainly volunteer to re-home this beauty if the need arose. Just trying to be a good neighbour! 😉
Wauw, those eyes! I know it comes with the race, but still, it's fantastic
Yup. That's a cat that knows they own everything, including the human taking the photo.
Load More Replies...Oh yes, they can have most of my entire heart rent free
Load More Replies...I'd love to have this cat hang out on my shoulders like a cruelty-free fur stole, kitty looks so soft and floofy
Typical ginger look..."Excuse me, isn't time for my third breakfast?"
Is that typical for gingers? Explains the old guy I just adopted.... :D
Load More Replies...In the kitten picture he seems to have blue eyes, lol. The adult eyes are spectacular
The adult photo is gorgeous - Gingers look as if they're glowing in sunlight
If those are the same cats in both pix, they magically turned into twins!
“What? This is for the baby? I know, that’s why I’m in it. I am your baby…Ughhh, oh you mean THAT thing. But I was here first!”
We had a cat, Bazzy, with that expression too. We used to say that Bazzy always had the most “sincere” look on his face. Sincerely puzzled. Sincerely pissed off. Sincerely hungry. Sincerely worried. Sincerely _____ (fill in the blank). RIP Bazzy, you lived with us from 9 weeks old to almost 20 years old. You are sorely missed!
Load More Replies...That sort of fish needs a big tank with good filtration too. Very few fish are happy in something that small, really only a betta that I can think of off the top of my head.
Load More Replies...This is not a real breed but actually a horrible hereditary disease that destroys the cats joints and cartilages. They will be in pain at some point in their lives and it can not be cured. It's called Osteochondrodysplasia.
Load More Replies...These are some gorgeous cats, and the reason I come to BP. More, please! 👍
The amount of Scottish Fold cats in this article makes me sick to my stomache. It is a torture breed. These cats are very sick from the moment they are born and not enough people are aware about this. And I'm not sure if I'm just more aware myself, but I see more and more SFs being promoted on social media without informing the followers of OCD (Osteochondrodysplasia). If I can reach just one single person with my post and keep them from adopting a Scottish Fold, that would make me very happy. Please do not support this torture breed!
Unfortunately many people seem to care more about the looks of an animal, than it's health.. be it scottish fold cats or pug dogs..
