I've been a professional pet photographer for over 12 years and have photographed more than 15,000 animals for my human clients during that time. Many dogs visit my studio as puppies and return for updated photos when they've grown.

I started compositing together images from both photo sessions, calling them 'Big & Little', and sharing them on my social media pages and as such, the 'Big & Little photo series was created.

It's always great fun documenting how much (or little!) dogs have changed over time. Puppies grow up so quickly - blink and they're adults.

Whatever you do, take a gazillion photos of your dogs when they are small. Use the services of a professional like me or take photos of yourself on your phone. It doesn't even matter - just be sure to document their lives. They are with us for such a short time compared to our life expectancy and photos record some of the best memories.
