35 Of The Most Savage Twitter Reactions To Kim Kardashian Telling Women To Get Off Their Butts And Work
The internet has it out for Kim Kardashian after her recent controversial and inflammatory comment in an interview with Variety: “I have the best advice for women in business: Get your [effing] ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”
The outrage was huge, dear Pandas. Some people were appalled by Kim’s comments, and found them delusional, condescending, insulting, and out of touch with reality. Meanwhile, others couldn’t believe that they were hearing advice from a woman who was born into riches. At the end of the day, women are working incredibly hard and they didn’t take too kindly to being looked down on by Kim. However, some folks share the opinion that Kim does in fact work hard, but that hard work doesn't always lead to success.

Entertainment, pop culture, and lifestyle expert Mike Sington, Hollywood's Ultimate Insider, was kind enough to share his thoughts about Kim's comment with Bored Panda.
"I thought Kim’s comments were way out of line. She came from a family of wealth and privilege, which gave her an advantage the vast majority of women don’t have. The Kardashian interview with Variety was fascinating, because it really got inside the business of being a Kardashian, and it didn’t seem like anything was being held back," he told us. Women don't work hard enough?? This woman's a joke. Explain Kim who it is who cleans your mansion. And who's looking after your kids? And whose feet pray tell are on the sewing machines that fashion the outfits you drape yourself in for money? And who's running your errands?? Not Kim or her sneering family that's for sure. Says much that Kim has chosen now to throw muck and contempt at the demographic (women and girls) who have largely funded her lavish, comfortable, extravagant lifestyle. A lifestyle so rich she can hire party balloons that would pay someone's rent for a month. It also shows the total disrespect she harbours for women. Kim Kardashian has probably always been a woman-hater: we just never realised until now.

Celebrity expert Mike, from Los Angeles, told Bored Panda that the Kardashian brand is all about creating drama. "All of it is amplified for the media to create more interest in the family, which feeds the machine. It’s a never-ending cycle," he explained that it's a self-sustaining process where the more attention the Kardashians get, well, the more attention they end up with in the future.
Mike revealed to us that he's "honestly stunned" that interest in the Kardashian family has lasted as long as it has. "I give them a lot of credit for maintaining that interest over so many years and parlaying it into a massively successful business," he said that credit has to be given where it's due.

Yes they do work, but really how hard is it to sit in front of a Mirror putting your makeup on, or having someone else do it for you. Yes, she used to be an assistant to Paris Hilton(?), it was a job that she could have quit. She didn't need the job to pay rent, to eat, take the bus or train. She was an assistant in organizing Paris's closet and petty errands. That's it. She got the job because she was already rich and well connected. She was better off being quiet and letting us believe she was vapid instead of removing all doubt. Just my two cents.

That is the f$##^ truth. Everyone has a different 24hours. It peeves me to hear celebs talk about how they get up at 2am/4am and go to the gym, eat healthy etc etc. Like bro, I don't have a team doing things for me and work for millions during a few weeks of the year. If I got up at 2am I would have gotten 2hours sleep and I have to be on work at 7am to make mediocre wages.

Bill Gates had wealthy-ish parents (upper middle class, multiple homes, able to afford Harvard), introduced him to the right people, and supported him while he was starting Microsoft (possibly gave him seed money, too, but I'm not positive). Jeff Bezos's parents invested $250k in Amazon to help him out. And Elon Musk's dad owned an emerald mine in South Africa. Don't pretend like having wealthy parents isn't a major advantage.

My first car was in 1976, AND it was a 1963 Plymouth Valiant that my grandmother had bought NEW in 1962 and then passed to my mom when my grandmother got sick, and then passed to my Dad when my grand mother died and mom bought a newer car with the $4000 inheritance she got, and THEN in 1976 when I turned 16, I got the car, AND THE PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE . . . . and the back floor boards were rusted out, so my dad wedged some wood in the back floor wells, and you could still see the road flying by underneath. --- I was grateful to HAVE that car. Most of my friend had NO CAR.

God I can't stand this family. Please no one watch the new Hulu show. They're getting 9 frigging figures for it! Make Hulu regret it. I canceled my Hulu a month ago. It's as expensive as cable anyway for live tv and multiple people on the account. Keep making new email accounts and get the free month if you see something interesting you want to watch. Make them pull the plug after the first season. They need to go away. The after Covid world doesn't deserve anymore depressing dystopian nonsense from these horrible people. Their products are crappy too and just a knock off of better brands.

I used to get upset over things like this, but then I realized it doesn't matter. That woman will never know what it's like to get up early, and work hard for 9-10 hours, go home, care for family and try to find time for herself. I don't need a vapid entitled woman to tell me how hard to work. I know how hard I work, and why I work so hard. And I do it all and still feel good about myself because I'm not degrading others or throwing them under the bus so I can succeed.
