If it were up to kids, every day would be Halloween. Just think about it: they are encouraged to go from door to door and ask for candy, they are allowed to eat buckets of it (and even if not, they can still hide their stash), they can dress up as the craziest things and be applauded for it.
Speaking of the latter, if you want to see real Halloween action, you gotta look at kids making their costumes, because oh em gee, these little daredevils are competitive (just like their parents!).
So just in time for the spooky night of 2022, Bored Panda wrapped up some of the most entertaining, creative and hands-down jaw-dropping kids' Halloween costumes below. Scroll down, upvote your favorite ones and let the inspiration in!

Mystery and suspense always seem to be popular genres, no matter what the medium. And one of the most popular ways to enjoy these genres is by dressing up in a scary costume and attending a mystery event. There's something about donning a costume and becoming someone else for a night that is both exhilarating and freeing. You can be anyone you want to be, and no one can judge you. It's a safe way to explore the dark side of human nature, without actually having to do anything truly dangerous.

Halloween is a special time of year when people can dress up in costumes and pretend to be someone else. It's a time when the normal rules don't apply and people can let their imaginations run wild. People are fascinated by Halloween because it's a time when they can be someone else. They can be a scary monster, a cool nurse, or a powerful superhero. It's a time when they can let their hair down and have some fun.
Halloween is also a time when people can indulge their dark side. They can be mischievous, or even a little naughty, without consequences. It's a time to let loose and be someone you're not usually allowed to be.

So why are people so fascinated by Halloween? Because it's a time when they can be anyone they want to be. It's a time to let your hair down and have some fun. It's a time to be a little naughty. It's a time to be someone you're not usually allowed to be. And that is why people are so fascinated by Halloween.
Halloween costumes have come a long way since the early days of the holiday. The first Halloween costumes were probably made of animal skins and were worn by people who wanted to disguise themselves as animals. This was probably done to ward off evil spirits.

The first recorded use of the word "Halloween" dates back to the year 1556, when it was used in a Scottish poem. The first mention of costumes being worn on Halloween comes from an account of a Scottish woman in 1585, who wrote that she and her friends went "a-guising" on Halloween. They wore "kirtles" (long, flowing skirts) and "head-kerchiefs" (headscarves) and went door to door asking for food.

The tradition of wearing costumes on Halloween spread to America in the 19th century. By the early 1900s, Halloween had become a popular holiday in America, and people were beginning to dress up in costumes for parties and parades.
One of the most popular Halloween costumes of the 20th century was the witch costume. This was probably due to the popularity of the Wizard of Oz books and movies. Other popular costumes included ghosts, vampires, and skeletons.

My favorites are the ones where you can tell it was the kid's idea, and the costume is practical to trick-or-treat in. Some of these look like they were made more for the parents to post on social media than anything else--which is fine up to a point, but when I see an elaborate costume of a Gen-X cultural referent on a small kid, I can't help wondering whether the kid was actually having fun.
Agreed! The post made it sound like kids made the costumes… which sounded super fun! But nope, mostly babies or toddlers in elaborate costume representing characters who they do not know nor care about. Still neat, but it should be called parents who took their kids costume to another level.

I'm a bit wary about the kids who have costumes based on horror movies especially since they're movies with R ratings and these kids look too young to be watching them.
Tell me why someone come here only to downvote without expressing any opinion about that. Thank you friends. And I perhaps know this is a retoric or naif question.
I'm afraid the downvote goblins are on the loose If.
