This journalist would probably die to know that my husband never actually proposed and it basically went like this: "Do you wanna get married in November?" "Okay." "What day?" "I don't care, how about Sunday?" "Ok, let me call Mom." We had an awesome wedding for under $500. True love doesn't have a dollar sign on it.

KFC is hellishly expensive in some countries. Its like high end fine dining prices where people need to dress up poshly to even enter. I would kill to get proposed in KFC. Here KFC prices are skyrocketing due to exchange rate gaps. What r******d fun was this journalist having over an innocent pair of swans???

Not all women are materialistic. I am holding a torch for a man with SPMS who went through an ugly divorce and is broke. His mind and personality is so beautiful that I am amazed he still has a very positive outlook in life after all the emotional and financial abuse he went through (he was a proprietor of an IT company). If only he knew how much I love him deeply.

Good for them! I can't stand when people comment about a couple (or the person proposing) not spending enough on the rings, ceremony ect. I'm not sure about you all but people spend a TON of money on weddings and some of us simply cannot afford to do so. This couple looks genuinely happy in the moment and THAT my friends is what truly matters.

I'm confused why this lady is being labeled a journalist. There is nothing in her tweet to indicate that she is a journalist nor any mention in this post of what company she is affiliated with. Is she actually a journalist or some random person tweeting her unsolicited opinion?

KFC has different connotations i different countries -- in Japan, KFC is widely seen as a favorite Christmas meal due to a "Kentucky for Christmas" ad campaign in the '70's.

Why do some women make it all about the money? What would you rather have.. man that will buy you everything a queen desires, but then steps out on you, beats you or treats you like his property to be disposed of at his choosing? Or a man that is dirt poor, treats you like a queen, loves you, supports you in good times and bad, would never lay a hand on you and would lay down his life to protect you? Sorry ladies...I'd rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable.

The only person with 'no class' is the so-called journalist who thinks it's acceptable to mock someone for their apparent lack of financial status. Shame on her! I hope this loving couple have many blissful years together. And how wonderful that so many companies have rallied to support them.

They deserve every blessing. Whoever tried to shame them doesn't know if that was the place they met or had a first date or may have even worked there together. I was moved to tears seeing how many people stepped up to show their support. The world needs more of this, less shaming and bullying.

In a lot of other countries, KFC is special occasion food. I remember when I lived in overseas , people living in the countryside went to McDonald's for their special occasions, and they would have to travel many miles to get there (it's complicated when you don't own a car and bus service is sketchy at best) This might have been an anniversary or birthday dinner. Regardless it was a very special occasion and wish the beautiful couple all the happiness in the world.
