Would anyone like to discuss the possibility of aliens? I firmly believe they exist, and here's my list of reasons why we haven't seen signs of alien life.
    1. They live too far away, and cannot travel to our planet
    2. There is intelligent life out there, and it doesn't have the same needs as humans. Whether it be they don't need to breathe oxygen, or they're an underwater species, or are even made up of different elements, they couldn't exist easily on Earth
    3. Alien life hasn't evolved to the point in which it is intelligent, and will take millions of years to reach that point
    4. Aliens are aware of us, and are staying far away
    5. Intelligent life exists, but hasn't developed the technology needed for space travel
    6. Intelligent life exists, but doesn't believe there's other life forms out there
    7. They're already here, but are either covered up by the govt, or other agencies
    8. They're already here, but appear mundane to the human eye, maybe even in the form of an existing species
    9. They exist but have a form that is not visible to the human eye
With all the strange life that exists on Earth, wouldn't it make sense to assume that life exists off it too?

It's almost summer, there's a lot to celebrate: end of school, graduations, pride month and heritage months, the works. And what better way to celebrate than with the humble chocolate chip cookie? This is my favorite recipe, just for y'all. They're crispy on the edge, chewy in the middle, and the chocolate is all gooey and melty. Enjoy! (Also, I live in the US of A, so the measurements are in cups, I don't know the grams conversion, sorry!)

    - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    - 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
    - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    - 1 egg
    - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (alternatively, maple syrup works FANTASTICALLY)
    - 3/4 teaspoon salt (maybe even 1 teaspoon if you want ig)
    - 1 and 1/4 cup all purpose flour
    - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
    - 8 oz chocolate. Use milk, dark, whatever you like. I HIGHLY recommend using good-quality chocolate bars, they melt better than chips and gives you control over how large or small you want the pieces. Just give the bars a rough chop and go on your way.

Melt the butter on the stove, but let it bubble away for a couple minutes while stirring to brown the milk solids. Make sure to brown it, not burn it. Carefully pour the hot butter into your mixing bowl, and add either three tablespoons of COLD water, or even 2-3 ice cubes. Stir it around to both cool and re-add the water lost in boiling.

Once the butter is as close to room temp as possible, add the sugars, salt, and vanilla, and mix well. Add the egg and beat in entirely. Your mixture should be a nice brown color and smooth.

Sift in the flour and baking soda, and gently mix until most of the flour disappears. Add your chocolate pieces and finish mixing it off. Try not to eat all the raw dough, wrap it up, and let it chill in the fridge for an hour at minimum. Bonus points if you wait 24 hours.

Preheat the oven to 350, and line a cookie sheet with parchment. Divide the dough into 12 balls for my ideal cookie, or make them smaller if you want. Space the dough balls out at least two inches apart, bake them off in batches if necessary. Bake for 8-10 minutes for them to be chewy in the center and crispy on the edge, adjust the time depending on how you want yours. Gently remove from the parchment (a spatula works best), and let cool completely on a wire rack before enjoying.

Does anything beat a cup of cold milk with a chocolate chip cookie? Do you like to mix in anything else? Please try this out, and lmk what you think!

Unfortunately I've started listening to Taylor swift and Britney spears again so that's making me a bit sad. Horseshoe crabs are really cool and are a new contender for my favourite animal which has solidly been crows for like years. No matter what I promise I won't change my username to crabspectre although that'd be hilarious and honestly maybe a good idea

Don’t worry, I’m not leaving yet and if I do then it’ll be temporary for a few months

I’m in ninth grade and I am dying 😃

Also fun fact: A surgeon named Robert Liston performed the only known surgery with a 300% mortality rate. He was known for his quick amputations that took under 3 minutes to perform. He cut off a patient’s limb so fast that he amputated his assistants fingers and a spectator died of shock because a bit of his coat tails were cut as well. The assistant and the patient both died of gangrene later in the hospital

My favorite quotes from my friends this year

    Q. “What is that elongated hamster thing?”
    A. Ferret

“There is room for deep thoughts in the barren wastelands of outer space.”

    “Sacred flame!”

“I am a child. You are a child. We are all children demented in unison…”

    “Penguin! Activating pigeons!”

“Go fall out of a tree and if that doesn't work, come talk to me.”

“So he is like a medieval dentist…”

    “We found the boot dude!”

“I have a charger,” he said. ”For my head?!” she replied.

“Don’t ask, just shove me in a closet.”

    “It’s Friday, I don’t know anything…”

    “I open my pickaxe…”

“He was blinded by a bus.”

    “Flesh is like memory foam…”

“If TikTok can make people eat Tide Pods then I can break into the Bellagio because I watched Ocean's Eleven…”

    “Mistake are consequences. Earned!”

“Not gonna lie but these ducks give me psychopath murderer vibes…”
