Pinterest is a cesspool. I found some of my facebook photos had been uploaded on pinterest. A girl (wannabe maker/influencer/scammer) reuploaded them with her watermark and used them as example of her creations. Had to subscribe to the website to report the images, and after weeks of waiting... nothing happened. Zero answers, support or even an automated mail. In the meanwhile those images were stolen by others and popped around for a while on other websites, mostly on ads of promoting scams. Stopped uploading my work anywhere.

Copyright laws make this illegal, surely?

Another in a long list of bad acts for YouTube. ---From demonetizing an animator for making an animation with a female character with large breasts because it was too sexual; while still allowing overly sexual ads for mobile games to be advertised by them on monetized channel. --- To Ann Reardon of How To Cook That debunking dangerous cooking 'hacks' and calling for YouTube to require disclaimers on potentially dangerous videos and getting ignored until one day, she makes a video on the dangers of fractal burning and the many videos on YouTube showing how to do it and how 34 people have died attempting it ; but her video was taken down for showing dangerous content while the how to videos remained up. --- To recently a gaming YouTuber CoryxKenshin getting his video on the game Mortuary Assistant age restricted while bigger gaming channels that posted videos of the same game were not age restricted. Leading him to believe that YouTube was playing favorites (1/2)

YouTube's copyright system is broken. Pretty much anyone can file a claim against any channel just because they feel like it.

He didn't own the rights to anything. He had permission to use a song, but not the samples the song contained (which belonged to a publisher for a different artist).

I once released a song on iTunes but then decided to take it down to do some more work on it. When I went to release it again I changed the name but since it still sounded similar they wouldn't let me rerelease it.

I follow a YT streamer who keeps getting copyright claims on music she pays a monthly licensing fee to use. Some people just suck

There was a YouTube video I watched where they said that every time they played a song, it was blocked. Not by the original creator of the song, but by some random person who made a remix once and now claims they own it.

What a nightmare. Poor guy.

Sometimes I dream of a world where all artists help each other create more beautiful art by sharing with each other, where we can all put a spin on the things we love, and pay it forward by letting other artists use our art. Reality is much more complicated than that. But it's a nice fantasy in a perfect world.
