Jason Momoa is winning some major points with his wife, actress Lisa Bonet. Earlier this week, the Aquaman star posted a YouTube video revealing what lengths he’d gone to when resurrecting his lady’s first car — a 1965 Ford Mustang.

Now 52, Bonet bought the car when she was 17 but over the years, it got really beat up. However, since it was too precious for her to get rid of, she kept the Mustang with plans to restore it when the time was right.

14 years passed and the Mustang was still just rusting away.

Enough was enough. So Momoa secretly took the car to custom automotive builder Divine 1 Customs and after the guys worked their magic on it, he drove it out to surprise his wife.

The couple met in 2005 at a jazz club. “We just happened to be in the right place at the right time,” Momoa said to Corden. “I actually had dreaded my hair for her. I had dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks. I literally turned around and I see her and she goes, ‘I’m Lisa.’ I turned around to my friend and I [pretends to scream]. I had fireworks going off inside, man. I convinced her to take me home, because I was living in a hotel.”

After over a decade of being partners, the couple got married in early October of 2017. The low-key ceremony took place at their home in Topanga, California with just family and friends. Little is known about their special day, and the duo want to keep it that way.

Together, they have to kids, but Jason is also “papabear” to actress Zoë Kravitz, who Lisa shares with singer Lenny Kravitz.

Actually, the three stars made headlines recently for their friendly relationships after Lenny publicly wished Momoa a happy birthday on Instagram.

Here’s what people said about the surprise

Beautiful. I would have kept the white paint though

That paint job was a nod to the first Ford GT40 prototype that was painted in that livery. When they raced 3 of them at Le Mans they had to change the color because McLaren had already registered that combination. The movie "Ford vs. Ferrari" is an excellent telling of that story. The swept the first three spots of a race they entered just because Enzo Ferrari had dissed American carmakers, Ford in particular.

Although Jason makes me go weak at the knees, I deeply admire the love he has for his wife and family. Respect to a man that shows that he loves his family. Trolls and detractors will always have something to say about celebrities. I can only hope to one day meet a man that looks at me the way Jason looks at his wife.
