The ever-bustling cities keep growing in size and intensity, but as they do so, it becomes increasingly more difficult taking your pet for a walk: perhaps the dog’s favorite park is on the other side of the city, the traffic is a constant source of anxiety, etc. But there’s plenty of room to adapt, and pet lovers often do whatever’s necessary to keep their pets safe and happy.

This aligns perfectly with the subject of today’s post. A Japanese company has invented a very hip and practical e-bike, or a moped, if you will, with a name that matches its purpose—the mopet.

Wow! Amazing! The only problem is cats might try to jump out so I think there should be a top you can close on the storage area. And it looks like it’s stable! I honestly still don’t know how to ride a bike without training wheels because I’m so paranoid I’m going to die if I try so-

A tip, it's going to be hard to balance when you are still. Keep your knees pointed forward, head up, and eyes forward. It will take a white to figure out how to stop swerving, but when you learn, you never forget. And the faster you go, the easier it will be to balance. It's okay if you can't ride, I learned when I was 12 and a half. You can do it!

I wonder how this would work with water, mud, or rocks. I'm no engineer, but I'm curious if the design protects the dog from things that the front tire kicks up🤔

My dog wouldn't fit in it, but I'd love one for popping to the shops with. Somewhere for the bags!

A lot safer then sticking your pet into a basket and hoping they don't jump out!

Hmmm, I think my poor dog is too much of a majestic sausage to fit in that even if he's a smaller breed 😂

I was smiling out loud picturing cats being transferred like that. Can you imagine the pain when they scratch your legs while you bike. :D

I think the name "Mopet" wouldn't lift off here in Germany, we use that for slow, low powered motorbikes already

It's the same in English it's called moped. I am guessing the similarity of mopet is an intentional play on words.

Considering that the Japanese use baby carriages to push around their dogs, this seems like it's about time. I just want one big enough for my large labrador!

I wouldn’t use this just for my pets. I’d carry stuff in there too. Such a handy idea!

You can add a cat /dog bike basket to a normal bike. This will be very uncomfortable as you have a very big space between legs. Cycling will not feel natural.

My brother has a Cavalier King Charles. Would one of those fit in this thing? I can't really tell and I don't know much about dogs.
