Japan is no stranger to tourism and it’s many compliments from all over the world, and there’s nothing I can say about Japan that hasn’t already been said. However, there’s something about it that feels so surreal. We all have the travel bug but the experience in Japan I had was completely different from any other countries I’ve visited before.
Japan can sometimes feel claustrophobic for those that struggle with crowds, but even in the midst of the most chaotic crosswalk in the world, I still felt a sense of belonging that I’ve never felt before. And the more you see what’s really going on, the less scary the crowd gets as you start to realize everyone is just in their own bubble trying to get from A to B.
I want more people to experience Japan first hand, not to experience Japan or it’s culture but to experience yourself. Don’t get me wrong, it’s important to respect culture and understand proper etiquette but don’t forget to enjoy everything you feel. Both the good and bad.
If you ever have the opportunity to go, take it. Every trip has its struggles, but the pros outweigh the cons every time in Japan. And the convenient stores are clutch on your wallet and on your stomach.
Hope one day you find yourself in Japan and fully experience what I felt. That being said, enjoy the shots from my Japan trip!
