People Come Together To Watch A Stream Of A Small Towns Intersection, And It’s More Entertaining Than You’d Think
From time to time, some internet trends come along and if you spend enough time in front of your computer, you’ll have no problem catching up. But some trends are probably meant to last forever, like the Jackson Hole town square live stream. What’s so special about it? Well, it all began back in 2014 when one local man decided to put up a dozen live streams of his hometown’s scenic places in order to promote tourism and local businesses.
Nobody knows exactly why or how, but the live stream of Jackson Hole’s main intersection went viral back in September of 2016. The stream was receiving more and more views each day. The comment section under the video was flooded with remarks about red trucks, dogs and random pedestrians.

Share on Facebook"Jackson Hole" is an improbable and unfortunate name for a place, but who am I to talk? I live within an hour of Moose Jaw, Pilot Butte, and Indian Head.
Could have been worst. You could be living on the other side of the country in Dildo Newfoundland.
Load More Replies...I tuned in to this same webstream last year (?) during the solar eclipse because Jackson Hole was under the full eclipse shadow and it's a cool town. There are two other webcam streams of the same intersection from different angles, one of which shows the roof of the building across the street where people were partying (I think I saw some 'cigarettes' being shared on the roof ) during the eclipse. It's cool to bring them all up on your browser and pretend you're at CTU tracking suspects.
For a moment I was a bit confused how dark it is, knowing it's live... then I remembered it could just be in the middle of the night while here at home I just woke up in the morning, still half asleep... good morning everyone ^^'
I think when we live in a complex, hectic world, we long for simple day to day activities like this...it can be peaceful, and soothing.
