It Took Me Almost A Year To Start With Digital Comics And Here Are My 19 Befores And Afters
Hey, my name is Adam and I’ve been drawing comics about Depression Chicken and his friends for a year now. They are funny little stories about feelings, big or small worries and self-acceptance. I started doing them to help me cope with my depression and I remember a sudden momentum that made me go to an artist supply shop and buy paper, pencils and watercolours.
In the beginning I drew every single comic on the paper. It’s a very nice process and I enjoyed it a lot. I scanned and digitally edited each drawing and posted it that way on my profile on Instagram. It definitely had a certain charming character. When my best friend, Warsaw illustrator Mroux, showed me how she draws on the tablet, I was sceptical at first, but after one try I loved it. Shortly after, I started doing my drawings completely digitally. And not only is it more fun, it makes my work much faster. In addition, I developed a font with my handwriting and have been using it ever since.
How do you like it?

I love these! I also appreciate how you're willing to share your process with other up-and-coming artists. Hope you enjoy the 2022 holiday season, even if it's populated with, er, people. 😺
