15 Extremely Bizarre Comics With A Dash Of Dark Humor, Satire, And Social Critique By 3Palec (New Pics)
Interview With ArtistToday, we’re excited to share the latest illustrations and comics from a unique series created by an artist who travels the globe. While on the move, he observes various current events and random situations, portraying them in an exaggerated and, sometimes, controversial manner. 3Palec’s art often offers a raw yet authentic picture of the world and people.
When we previously spoke to the illustrator, he mentioned the main subjects that feature in his work: “People cause me the greatest interest. People in real life, people on the Internet, people in extreme situations... I just look at what is happening, draw conclusions, and create my illustrations.”

Bored Panda reached out to the artist behind the series and asked some questions regarding his latest works. When asked to describe in more detail what themes or topics he finds the most compelling to explore in his work, the illustrator said: “There are several topics that interest me more than others. These are everything related to people (relationships, psychology, vices), politics, and religion. People are my greatest interest. Politics, because it cannot be denied, influences us much more than it might seem to apolitical people. And religion is philosophy.”
When asked how he approaches character design, 3Palec answered: “Depending on what the task is. Before I sit down to draw, the character in my head is 60 percent ready; the rest is finalized during the process. The main thing is that its depiction should not be more complicated than the idea itself. In [other] word[s], if the concept is weak, I try to get rid of details and draw more primitively. In this case, meaning is more important than form.”
We were also wondering how the artist’s style has evolved over time and what influenced any potential changes. We learned the following: “My style has changed throughout the time [sic], and I can assume that it will continue to be so. And it changed because I try to simplify everything. At the moment, I am not faced with the task of drawing in one style. I like to combine. It is more important that, in each style, the individual signature of the artist can be traced.”
When he started he was much larger and bright red, but poor Clifford had given the task all he had...
Lastly, we wanted to know what 3Palec considers the most motivating to keep creating his unique series of comics and illustrations. He said: “Motivation is simple. It’s difficult not to do something, as it fills your head [and] puts pressure on you mentally, so you need to get rid of these thoughts. Useful qualities in creating comics are learning to distribute timing, feel[ing] the rhythm, and [understanding that] each new action should flow smoothly from the previous one without long intervals.”
Err, half of these are in poor taste, well OK no problem, but there doesn't appear to be any attempt at humour. I mean, a group of men letching over a pretty woman bending over; where's the joke where's the punchline, where's the hook?
Sometimes art is just as outlet. The artist appears frustrated.
Load More Replies...usually I enjoy looking at the comics this entire has to offer, but these are just not that good. like, the artist did a good job with their art style, but the content isn't that funny and it's just kinda disgusting. BP staff, please consider what kind of content is actually here before labeling it as "funny".
Nah! They are thought provoking! Esp in this day and age of rampant porn and human trafficing - I see a lot of appeal to purity and for some more human dignity and wisdom in these...
Load More Replies...I didn't understand about 3/4 of these. Oh, well. Onwards to something else.
