I Illustrate The Difficulties I Face As An Introvert

I draw “INFJoe Cartoons” to encourage and validate fellow introverts and INFJs (one of the 16 Myers-Briggs personality types). I try to find a little humor in the difficulties introverts and INFJs face while navigating life, so making these cartoons is also a kind of therapy for me.

I began drawing them with a Sharpie on regular copy paper. In 2013, however, when my wife and I planned a 2-month trip to Spain, I bought an iPad to be more mobile and started making them with a stylus and Paper by FiftyThree.

For those of you who do not share the introvert preference or the INFJ personality type, I hope these cartoons will give you a little insight and understanding into our world. Thank you for looking!

I'm an INTJ and also a female, the rarest personality type for a girl. It's definitely hard. People think I'm shy and weird; I'm not, I'm just more comfortable alone or with very few people. I instinctively view people as irrational and this really annoys my family, with the exception of my twin sister, also an INTJ. I'm so glad this comic depicts what I do, especially the not-talking part. People get annoyed about that. :)

INTJ female here too!I get easily tired by interaction with other people and quickly bored..:/ I gotta say its hard.Tired of hearing that i'm ''antisocial''

INTJ female here! I have such a hard time with my mom's family which are all a bunch of extroverts. Also, I always mess up when talking to people, hurt their feelings with no intention. Can't do anything about it, tho.

I'm an INTJ girl too. :) I'm a total introvert, and can I just say that if I owned my place, that door WOULD be My door. I saw all the locks and was like, "OMG, I'm not the only one!"

I'm INFJ and my lifetime boyfriend is INTJ. It's funny how actually INFJ and INTJ can understand each other easily, and make their company of the other one "bearable" ^^ People don't get the way we work, we both do our stuff, he is in his office on his computer, I'm watching documentary about monkeys on tv, and we met somewhere in the middle. He gives me the space I need, I do the same, but we ALWAYS feel this deep connection, INTJ are so realiable ! It works very well in a relationship, I'm in charge of the "present moment", and he's planning our future, it's a win-win situation ;)

I am INTP and I guess my case is that I canot accept myself for who I am. I often interact with people but all I say is just a bunch of rubbish because I rarely truly want to have that conversation. This makes people think that I care for them when I don't. It seems that few people have this problem which makes it harder accepting myself for who I am. I want to have a lot of friends but it's hard to text or ask people out regularly because you don't really want to see them. I wish I wasn't an introvert.

About: want to ask people out but Din't Really wanna see them.. oh maybe I am wrong like: I am Not shure what you mean... because I have to decribe it the way it is for me: Got 1 girl-friend, one 'crazy' mother and Don't know my daughter over 19 years now and Hope to meet family Father - side wich I never have but live together with the father of Our Only 'child' and I was Denied to rause her... so I wonder:did I want it this Lonely way or did I not Desurve a better life cause i've done some Bad things long time ago... will it get better if I tried to change and do things differently so I'll be 'rewarded' some - how and get to be moore satisfied=feel better and smile moore... seems I May be scared of changing if it Fails... cause I can barely cope with my life as ut is for a while now... my fault and it takes all of me to find ways to cope...

Norway is a nice place to be an introvert :) Small talk with strangers is a big no-no. And in public space, almost everyone takes the seat farthest away from anyone else. Personal space is pretty much sacred here.
