I basically make about $6,000-$8,000 a month online. It’s enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 10-13 hours a week from home. I was amazed how easy it was after I tried it….. ===))> 𝐖𝐰𝐰.𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤.𝐂𝐨𝐦

The door was designed and built in 1902 by Ernest De Lune in Brussels. It was the studio and home of glass artist Clas Grüner Sterner. To its right is a spectacular window. bp2-61116b...c6-png.jpg bp2-61116b981ecc6-png.jpg

Ali, the person behind Call It Desin, created it out of personal passion. "I started getting into modern design when I wanted to renovate my 1-bedroom apartment," Ali told Bored Panda. "I myself try to avoid the extra fluff, that's why I started digging into modern design, and appreciating its simplistic and unique look."

Ali believes people are drawn to modernism due to their inner desire to express themselves through simplicity. Think of it like this: when your space has no unnecessary details, you can't get bored of it. If everything has its purpose, you don't question its presence.

"I started this page 18 months ago and made over 1,300 posts" Ali continued. "Based on the posts that have had the biggest engagements and interests, I can see clearly what design features my followers like the most."

"For example, they're attracted by the most simple and minimalist architecture; boxy style, linear elements, flat roofs... They may seem basic, but they give that amazing, stunning, and artistic look to a place."

When talking about design, the words 'contemporary' and 'modern' are often used interchangeably but, although there are similarities, they are two distinct design styles from different periods.

First, there was modernism, then came contemporary interior design; modern design flourished in the mid 20th century while contemporary design is still forming at present. But it's an easy mistake to make.

I love the many aspects of woodworking simply because the common expectation is flat, square, things and pictures such as this offer a shocking introduction to the fact that wood furnishings can exist outside of the limiting planes of flat and square. The only thing I don't like about woodworking is that, to achieve anything outside of flat and square, there is so much waste in the process.

The modernism movement began to unfold as it moved away from using traditional building and design materials like wood, stone, and brick, focusing on industrial materials such as glass, steel, and concrete instead.

The most recognized and influential design philosophy was created by the German Bauhaus school of design in the 1920s.

"The basic principle of the Bauhaus is 'Form follows function,'" interiors writer, stylist, and designer Cate St. Hill writes. "That means that designs were made to be functional, practical, useful, and simple, often before their beauty was considered."

According to St. Hill, Bauhaus designs are defined by a lack of ornament, the use of clean lines, smooth surfaces, and geometric shapes.

She thinks its core idea is exactly the reason why Bauhaus has persevered. "Because Bauhaus designs prioritized function and were carefully considered in relation to space, they have endured – this wasn't style over substance (although some would argue they didn't always put comfort first)."

"Bauhaus designs still fit seamlessly into today's homes – because they're refined and functional, they still look contemporary. Simplicity just doesn't date. I think Bauhaus design is particularly relevant at the moment in relation to small space urban living and today’s multifunctional homes," the designer explained.

Of course, there's more to modern design than Bauhaus. For example, there's Modern Rustic, Modern French, and other variations. And you can find pretty much all of them on Call It Design.

This is fascinating. I took a class on accident scene information when I was in law-enforcement and the one thing that they said was when trees are evenly spaced like this and people go buy them at a certain speed for a certain length of time they can actually induce an altered state of mind which when the trees stop causes accidents. It was a fascinating class about how the mind works and what our inherent weaknesses are with regards to motion of our bodies and the surrounding environment

Beautiful but a real bitch to manage. They grow FAST and hang onto everything and use themselves to climb up. They need a professional to make sre it stays in that shape - at least once a year if not twice! Also, the sap stains terribly and you can't get them to wash out even after years and trying everything. Still a really pretty plant. For low buildings.

The wisteria is beautiful, but the roots will cause the foundation of the house to deteriorate. It should never be planted right next to the house.

That and the cutlery being on the shelves. With a gas-stove, they'd get pretty greasy (even without, but with even quicker) so that's not realistic. It's probably a picture for a magazine or something, and they just put in stuff that made it look nice.

Agreed! I was against the idea of an ebook reader for years but now I love them and won't ever switch back. Hundreds of books in my hand and I can borrow from the library even in the middle of the night. And being able to change the font size is wonderful.

IT's beautiful, but I'd be concerned about the root systems disrupting foundations and pipes and underground electrical conduits, damage to the roof from overhanging boughs, and the eventual problems when the base of the tree grows big enough to impact the wall of the house. Believe me, nature is unstoppable. I once saw a tree that had grown THROUGH a chainlink fence. Fence was still there, but tree started on one side, grew through the fence, and was still growing out the other side, as in the fence was now firmly embedded in the middle of the tree, as if the tree had eaten it.

It's pretty, but I don't recommend having stairs that don't have a riser wall below the steps (trip and fall hazard), there's no railing on the step (fall from heights hazard), the shelf extends onto the steps (trip and fall hazard), and I'd check the coefficient of friction on the steps. You need some kind of non-skid, non-slip surface on your steps, and in a home, it's best to design ahead for people who might be wearing slippery socks or slippers.

Nope. Stairs have an overhang. Trip and fall. Railing doesn't extend to bottom steps, and you have irregular steps at the bottom that do not conform to ANSI tread width requirements (stairs too narrow, especially the forward-facing stair below the bannister). Tread-riser dimensions are also inconsistent. That's a stair-fall hazard. Carpet doesn't extend to edge of stairs, and step edges at bottom are smooth wood (with I'm sure an insufficient coefficient of friction, which is a slip and fall hazard). The step in front of the inset settee has a planter, which isn't advisable, even if it's one step. No, see too many things wrong with this staircase.

For convenience, I'd get a railed library ladder for that bookshelf. I hope it's been properly secured. For safety, I'd keep the strings of lights strictly vertical. Those horizontal loops are a hazard.

I think the odds of slipping on the tile and crashing into that huge expanse of glass are too high to risk, even if it is safety glass.

    Marlowe Fitzpatrik

But there's pebbles in the shower - very low risk of slipping. I've got a glass-door for my shower and it's lovely! Except the water-drops. That's a bit of a disadvantage. But this shower is so big that there's not as muchh water hitting the door anyway. I'd totally take this bathroom!

The stairs need railings on BOTH sides, they really shouldn't have stairs that allow people ascending to get their toes or foot caught under the step (trip and fall hazard) and the stairs need to come all the way to the floor. The raised step is a trip and fall hazard all the way around. I also can't really recommend wooden stairs unless you're going to either contour the wood for non-slip, or add a non-slip surface. Too slippery.

Worth it though. The view from my dining room looks over Ben Beulben mountain in North Sligo Ireland. It's a stunning view as there are trees and fields between us and the mountain but my house is east west facing so the sun comes up over the mountain every morning. It can be a bit blinding, especially in the summer but it's worth it. Especially as we get to watch the sun make beautiful shades and colours across the mountain as the sun sets in the west in the evening and then watch the moon rise and settle above the sea at the side of the house.

    1. stair rails need to come all the way to the floor, you don't want that little overhang on the steps (trip and fall hazard), you need a non-skid surface or wood contoured to be non-skid, and DON'T decorate stairs with objects on the stairs. It's a trip and fall hazard. Every year, 12,000 people die on stairs. We can reduce that number with properly made staircases.

i agree with all you have said here. except the nonskid bit, which might already be present. doubtful, but could be there. there are clear nonskid "stickers" that can be added to treads.

Shouldn't be on this list; like you said, anyone could make a mock-up like this. (Well, not me. *I* couldn't do it. But someone else, maybe you? Sure!) I'm only teasing a wee little bit; I totally agree with you that it should NOT be on this list. All of the others are real places and things. I don't have the money to duplicate a lot of things here, but if you've got the dough and/or the know-how, you could conceivably recreate a lot of these! Some are just gorgeous places (like the bits of Italy and the restaurants) that you really can't acquire (unless you're really wealthy with lots of connections?) but others, like the incredible balcony in the high-rise, and the cozy little areas that are so lovingly created [like the one below!] are do-able; you may need to buy things like candles, lights, and textiles, but it *is* possible. I just want these to all be actual photographs, not CGI or PhotoShopped.

Ok.... the bathtub looks... stylish.... but who the hell is supposed to clean a) under it with all those stones and b) how to get to the window to open it (for ventilation) and to clean it? Nice looking but very unpractical, therefor stupid.

Not very inviting for a bedroom, to be honest. Cold floor, no lamps at all, nothing to put the clothes on you wore the day, no nightstands... Not the place I'd want to go to sleep in.

it's a shame, too, because the texture and color contrasts are arresting and so so soothing. the threat of leaks isn't what would get me. it's the shifting light in my gatdamn eyes. yeah, nope nope. same reason my cars don't have sunroofs. remove the pool and NOW we are talking.

The money that it must take to pay for such a build makes me very annoyed by the size of that bedroom, that and the floor not being flat. It is my dream to wake to water in some way, but this just seems cold and clinical in some way.

They're just stairs, people. There's nothing scary about them at all! They actually appear to have wide, generous treads so you'd be even less likely to fall! As for falling out of bed, there is an area for the side table indicating the width of the area betwixt the bed and the edge, which is around one meter. Unless you not only fall, but also project your body a good three feet from the bed, you would be fine. Seriously, you'd be fine.
