This Girl Does An Extreme Guest Room Makeover In 5 Days And The Internet Is In Love
The Internet is packed with inspirational ideas on interior design but turning these room designs into reality is often much more challenging and requires talent, skills, and, well, hard work. But what if we told you it’s possible to do an extreme home remodeling project in 5 days all by yourself and on a budget? A former fashion photographer, currently a blogger as well as a YouTuber, Leanne Lim-Walker, recently went viral on Twitter after she shared how she turned an empty, dull space into an impressive dream room that looks straight from interior design ideas magazine cover.
Leanne and her fiancé, Paul, bought their house a year ago and have been renovating it room by room to make it feel like home while sharing the journey on Instagram.
“It was my 30th last weekend and I had surprise guests visiting. Instead of them sleeping on an airbed in an ugly blue room, I took it as a chance for another room makeover (in 5 days),” Leanne shared the story behind the urgent transformation of the guest room in her Instagram post.
But don’t get fooled by quick and easy before and afters. If you decide to renovate a place, you have to be prepared for a serious challenge. Even the master of her craft, Leanne, opened up about the arduous task. “A very satisfying ‘the after’ and that’s in no time for you but a week of blood, sweat, and tears for me,” – Leanne said in her in-depth YouTube video that reveals the process of redoing the guest room.

Share on FacebookBeautiful restoration, but - in my opinion - this room was not dull at all! Think about simple empty cubical space without fancy niche, without an old fireplace, without rustic wardrobe, without floor from old boards... this would be boring!
Agree... I would have accented the different angles and shapes in the walls and I would have kept the floor the natural wood instead of painting it. Also would have painted the fireplace something softer, not black. But that's just me.
Load More Replies...If she likes it that's cool - it's her home and all. I wouldn't buy a house where the previous owners ruined nice old brick and wood by painting over them. It's not going to stay looking nice and it's a huge pain to refinish. IMO she wrecked the best feature of the room.
I almost had a heart attack when I saw what she did to that beautiful wood and brick!
