Had to get a transfusion for my cat after one had died and another nearly died thanks to a flea infestation at the house from a "friend's" dog. It was heartbreaking losing the one, she died in my arms, we tried so many things to get rid of those little bastards (the fleas, never the cats!), finally got some really strong flea meds, sadly too little, too late. RIP Cuddles.

It is ridiculous and it’s really harmful for your self stem. The other day I saw a L T-shirt that was 1Cm wider than a xxs. Two trousers of the same size, one fit perfectly and the other didn’t pass my tights. I bought in the same store a xxL and a L that were the same size (of a normal L). I felt horrible when I needed a xxL until I measured it with the other shirt I got. It’s horrible for the self steam.

My grans village was the same. Our street had lovely small trees since the 1900s when it was built. Big enough to be pretty but small enough to not feel oppressive in a small street. Around the 60s people starting cutting them because they all wanted to look city like to pretend to be fancier. My family kept the trees or replanted them until I was a teenager. I had seen neighbours breaking the branches and trying to kill them. At the end they both died and my grandmas gave up.
