Since we’re on the topic of fascinating facts, did you know that McDonald’s once created bubblegum-flavored broccoli? Let that sink in for a few moments.

This was back in 2014 when health advocates compelled the fast-food giant to enhance the nutritional quality of its menu items. The idea was to introduce healthy eating to children through this innovative Happy Meal addition.

However, during focus group discussions, the idea was a flop, and the company was urged to scrap it altogether.

We know the Olympics as a prestigious event where athletes from around the world showcase their skills while representing their respective nations. But from 1912 to 1948, art competitions were part of the events.

People vied for the same bronze, silver, and gold medals across five categories: literature, architecture, painting, music, and sculpture. An international jury determined the winners.

I wonder why pharmaceutical companies can charge so much? Patents only last for a given period of time and then it is a free-for-all. Insulin is essential for people who need it!!! It should be free.

What many people do not realize is the insulin from 1923 is not necessarily the same product being called insulin now. The 1923 product was bovine insulin and while it can be life saving it also can cause serious issues. The more modern insulins are often GMO products from genetically modified farm animals that produce human insulin. That being said we still should not be paying outrageous costs for it. However until we can get Congress to pull together on a single payer health system we are screwed. Please remember our standard Medicare for the elderly and disabled does not cover medication. They have to purchase a separate insurance for that called Medicare D or some other Medicare supplement plan. it also does not cover nursing home care except for a limited number of days a year.

Until 1903, the Vatican in Rome removed the organs of a pope who had recently passed on and turned them into relics for the church.

The World’s Largest Ancient Mosaic Has Been Discovered In Turkey

The 9,000 square foot mosaic will open this year. It was discovered nine years ago during the construction of a new hotel in Antakya, Turkey.
Archaeologists believe that the mosaic once decorated the floor of a public building in the ancient city of Antioch, one of the most important cities of the Seleucid Empire.
Archaeologists collaborated with architects to preserve this ancient artifact during the construction of the hotel now part-time and museum.
The platform connected to the columns now hovers over the mosaic, and visitors will be able to see this masterpiece from above from special viewpoints.

Me Before And After Losing Weight

Me Before And After Losing Weight

I stopped sharing my life, progress, story back in 2020/2021. Just felt right at the time. Do What Best For You is what I would tell people. I started my WLS at 500lbs, in 2014. I lost 360 pounds in 20 months. Had a few surgeries. Here and there. Enjoyed my ride. I’m growing old from past life choices I once didn’t understand, my future I get to see, at a time it was so dark. I hope someone out there who thinks there in a bad spot sees my progress and it’s helps inspire them, even briefly. Do What’s Best For You.

Too many people do not understand that skin stretches and will stay stretched after weight loss. You need skin surgery. This man is very brave and is doing a huge service by sharing those photos. He is showing the reality of weight loss. People need to see this so they can push though on their journey and not have unrealistic expectations. There are so many fake, photoshopped pictures online. This is real and we need real.

Except if it is a friendly that isn't transmitted internationally, then it reads SVE - DAN and the leftovers are RIGE MARK. I really do not like the translation of country names, I feel especially bad for Deutschland/Allemagne/Germany, they don't even have similarities, and for Nederland that gets called after one province in some languages.

It lies in ruins on the banks of the Niagara River. It's not the only defunct steel factory in the Buffalo/Niagara region. While we all can recognize that progress pushes history forward, sometimes it holds the future back. The Niagara River is so badly polluted there are signs on the banks warning not to eat from the river. The NY side of the falls is a ruinous wreck with piles of trash and old rotting buildings. Niagara falls NY is too dangerous to live it anymore. The Canadian side of the falls is a huge national park kept in pristine condition
