I read that was due to his sister having leukaemia. Either way he is a great guy
I wish more rich people were this generous. What a different world this would be!
Captain Kirk would still probably bang a female Mon Calamari.
Load More Replies...Unfortunately, 40 years or so later, at least the Bond movie franchise hasn't learned one bit from that wisdom. He is the baddie? Let's f... up his face, else how would people find out? 🙄
that sort of stuff isn't supposed to be taken literally - it's a visual shorthand movies use, much like background music or color filters, to convey information instead of weighing down the movie with boring exposition dialogue.

That's something a lot of people don't understand about cancer, is that it can last for YEARS. There are some forms that will carry a person off in a matter of months, but others that can be fought for years as Boseman had to. I've even heard of people battling with hemotological cancers for 15-20 years. And a person with these cancers has to go on with their life the whole time, raising children and earning a living, maybe even having the kind of success he did, while dealing with cancer the whole time. We just never know what other people are going through.
So true. We never know what loads they carry. He will be greatly missed.
Load More Replies...And all the while people talked s**t about his weight loss and appearance and speculated publicly and even talked s**t about being too skinny and sending a bad message to teens n kids.....all because he chose to keep this to himself.. which is 100% his right. The problem is the people who think they're entitled to every aspect of celebrity lives and when they don't get the details they speculate, spread rumors and even shame ppl... and even people who have fucken cancer. This should be a lesson to everyone out there.
Yeah, their behaviour was goddamn sickening. >:(
Load More Replies...What a handsome young man, such a pity he was taken by this dreadful disease. Yeah, I know I'm starting to sound like an old woman.. :D
He really pushed through so much filming these movies. My father passed away from Colon Cancer and was in so much pain and it weakened an otherwise strong man. I just wish Boseman didn't hide it, especially towards the end. He could have helped create awareness during that time. But I get it. There should be more awareness about it. He got cancer so young and people should learn how young you can get it. Watch out for symptoms and get colonoscopies when you can. I now have colonoscopies every 3-5 years depending on the polyps they find.
People made fun of him when he started losing a lot of weight. You never know what somebody is going through.
It’s no surprise that there are so many cinema lovers who appreciate movies by watching them over and over again. Films have the magical power of pressing pause on our everyday problems and carrying us into distant worlds, full of the most interesting characters and fantastic scenarios.
If you also consider yourself to be a true movie expert, you should definitely take a look at the Film Facts Twitter account. They take some of the best never-before-heard details about cinema and share them online with more than 251.6K of their followers.

You forgot to mention she is a professional video editor, which makes a huge difference as a lot of experience and software knowledge is required for this job. From text it sounds like she never edited any film before
“She never edited an action film” stands to reason she did adit other films!
Load More Replies...And Marcia Lucas won an Oscar for editing Star Wars - she did a massive recut of the Battle of Yavin that took 8 weeks and was way different than scripted.
She essentially saved Star Wars - she retooled it so it looked like the Death Star's attack on the Rebel base was imminent, thus justifying the Rebel attack on the base and destroying it (along with countless innocents working there just doing their jobs). It was not initially filmed that way - watch carefully next time - it was all done in post with key lines added in post where you hear the characters but don't actually see them speak.
Load More Replies...Dude. That was THE BEST PART of madmax. It's the main reason why I love that movie. It has such a different feel to it. I want to see more from her.
Totally agree - I chalked it up to being an Australian film, but I'm jazzed that a woman edited it, that's awesome and I want more too!!
Load More Replies...It was good, the first two originals are much better though.
Load More Replies...Women and men are different and have different talents was that? Again please, for the people in the back!
You know there are excellent male film editors, too, right? Or are you under the impression that men can't art good because dangly penis? One woman having a perfect vision for this film because of her experiences with the films she previously edited is more reflective of the types of films she was asked to work on before and the editing they required vs. typical action film editing, not wOmEn bRaIn vs. mEn BrAiN. Yes, men and women are biologically different if that's what you need to hear, but we're not THAT f*****g different.
Load More Replies...There is a saying that people suffering from depression are the best comedians - as they know best what it feels like to be in need of being cheered up. And while this is, of course, grossly oversimplified, Robin Williams was a prime example.
He had received a diagnosis of *Dementia with Lewy bodies,* which is particularly challenging for loved ones cope with—it wasn’t some random “I just can’t take it anymore” situation. Poor example...
Load More Replies...I've never paid much attention to celebrities, never followed their lives, etc. But I cried a bit on the day he died. He was something special.
Felt like a relative dying. Damn I'm tearing up just thinking about it and him.
Load More Replies...I usually don't care when celebrities die, but Robin Williams and Betty White hit me hard.
The most depressed among us are always the ones trying to make us laugh, because they know how we feel.
Wow. I can understand why Leo was uncomfortable saying it. It makes me cringe when I hear it.
Same. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to say it.
Load More Replies...See that would make me feel even worse... like "F**k. I don't wanna make you feel like that.. I don't wanna contribute to this being 'another day' in the life of a POC in a world full of racists...." but then again it's a movie and that was such a huge part of the movie to set the tone of the times. But I've always thought about that though. Like, I don't think I could do it. I get upset when I hear a white person use the N word and there aren't even POC around. I couldn't imagine saying it to a POC ... so many times. Or listening to it being directed at a POC... that's rough. But the story needs to be told and it made me so uncomfortable.. as it should have.
And I hear POC using the word too, and actually saying 'I'm black, it's okay for me.' How do some people not understand that their actions and choices affect others?
Load More Replies...During the press junket for the movie, I was working as a news producer at the Fox affiliate in Houston. The station's entertainment contributor (at the time), a very young, *very* white man, interviewed Jackson (in person) and brought up the topic as part of his questions. What followed was a very awkward standoff as Jackson goaded him relentlessly to just "say the word". https://youtu.be/MZgEM9r5p7Q
Context is everything and (Samuel) he gets that

I’ve often thought that the most difficult part of acting is having to do things or play characters are repugnant to them. Easy to play the nice guy but much harder to play the evil ones
Load More Replies...Obligatory "I'm a good guy and I have objections, but I have to do this", in case someone thought he really was a racist slave owner.
Some people tend to dismiss learning new and interesting facts as a waste of time because today you can find any information you need with just a few Google searches. However, when a person is asked a trivia question that they know the answer to, they suddenly perk up and feel engaged.
One of the reasons behind this is simply that answering a trivia question provides us with a thrill. “You get a rush or a neuroreward signal or a dopamine burst from winning,” John Kounios, Ph.D., professor of psychology at Drexel University in Pennsylvania, told Healthline.
“I think whenever you’re challenged with a trivia question and you happen to know it, you get a rush. It’s sort of like gambling.”
Hell yes he was! Tolkien wanted to make a point about the value of humility and humble people, something that the modern world has forgotten.
Load More Replies...Everyone want's to have a friend like Sam, when we should really want to be a friend like Sam.
Indeed, speaking of flying in the face of public opinion... not here!!
Load More Replies...If I recall, isn't Sam also one of only two beings to ever willingly give up the ring (the other being Bilbo)?
I feel that Bilbo was initially reluctant to give up the ring and I vaguely remember him mentioning how wished he could see it again in the books. However, the ring appears to have absolutely no affect on the character of Tom Bombadil in the books.
Load More Replies...I scrolled down to the first person to mention the books so I could drop a like. The second and third books follow Sam, not Frodo. It's obvious who's the hero
Load More Replies...This is not surprising to anyone who has even a vague understanding of anything. What is surprising is how much unnecessary fluff Hollywood added to the films, yet how much important stuff they left out! The short cinema versions leftnhuge plot holes like the gifts from Galadriel just appearing in their possession!
In the extended version, the gifts are added... and it took a whopping 30 seconds of screentime.
Load More Replies...Amazing film, everything about it is near perfection for all ages

The Iron Giant is based off the story The Iron Man by Ted Huges. He wrote the story to help his children cope with the death of their mother, his wife, Sylvia Plath.
That does not take from the expression that brad bird imprinted into the movie, the book probably resonated heavily with him, in this case it does not sustracts it only adds
Load More Replies...Bet the douchbags who sent competent talented people to work on Shrek to punish them were mad af, their little power trip turned against them
And they later said: we knew you will make it, it was all planned
Load More Replies...Nobody expected it to actually be good. If you look at the film it's essentially a very well-crafted parody of Disney musicals. Nobody expected an ogre falling in love with a princess who is also sometimes an ogre with an annoying talking donkey banging a dragon at some point to be a bloody masterpiece.
Load More Replies...Shrek is my cat Luna's favourite film. Seriously, she loves watching it!
Is he that guy who "lives in a VAN down by the RIVER!"?
Load More Replies...I agree with your sentiment. But, I don't think anyone was mad, they made bank and got an award
I hope each one of the winners hot an Oscar and made sure it was well displayed, for their * co workers* to see.
For anyone who’s wondering if you have to be smart on many different levels to be good at answering quiz questions, Kounios said that people aren’t necessarily better at trivia games just because they’re more educated. “Some people soak up facts,” he continued. “Plenty of people with a lot more education may not remember what they had for breakfast yesterday morning.”
“In typical people, my observation, not backed up by any research, is that their interest in trivia is confined to topics that they are generally interested in,” the professor added. “So if a person is very interested in history, then they may either seek out history trivia, or they might just naturally pick it up in the course of learning about nontrivial aspects of history.”
i think i've found my new hero :D 19 ice cones! i want to try this..
If you think that's impressive, you should check out the movie "Cool Hand Luke". :-)
Load More Replies...Definitely not a random extra though - and Scorsese had other reasons to think she'd be an actress: Her father is Bruce Dern and her Mother is Diane Ladd. Her mom was nominated for an Oscar for Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (and won the BAFTA).
LOVED this movie!! Laura Dern's mother Diane Ladd played the original Flo in this movie!! This movie was the basis for "Alice", the 70's TV show with Linda Lavin.
So, I'm the best actress in the world, obviously, just haven't been discovered yet! :D
Otter, you've asked the most important question today. I also want to know
Load More Replies...I would totally watch Spiderman vs Batman movie. Come on DC and Marvel/Sony, put your stupid copyright fights aside and make a movie fans want.

Load More Replies...The answer to the mystery is that totalitarian governments simply don't allow good creative work to happen.
Wonder if they debated the whole adoption theme? Asians rarely adopt outside bloodlines. It's why there are so many Chinese and Korean adoptees in America. American culture accepts adoption from any country
They also have so many adoptees in China because of the one/two child policy and the forced abortions on those that don't adhere to the law. Babies girls are not valued like boys and so will be abandoned or given away so that the couple can try again for boy. Most Chinese babies adopted in the US or other nations are girls. Sad reality, but true.
Load More Replies...It's probably because of the panda, tbh. Panda was great, plus panda.
Load More Replies...Wow they censor and ban everything then wonder why foreign art companies create better work 😂 jfc
The Kung Fu Panda trilogy is my go to when I need a pick me up. I love these movies and can watch them over and over and I am 45.
My husband & I saw it opening weekend. We were laughing & high fiving our way to the car. A couple walking towards up asked which movie we had seen and in my best "Sean Penn from Fast Times" voice said, Kung Fu Panda. There were obviously no children with us (we ARE the children) so they just kinda stared and then walked away. Not sure what year that came out, but I'm 58 & he's 63.
I loved that movie when I was a kid. Carries some bad memories now, though.
When it comes to films, learning new things about them can keep you motivated, confident, and always curious. So whether you’re a cinema expert or a novice, this Twitter account will definitely assist you in getting those brain cells tingling and gain some points in your next movie trivia quest.
That was definitely a gamble. It was very possible that she would have felt even more attached to him after that encounter.
Yes. I could easily see that leading her to say, "Oh, we're so emotionally connected, he's confiding all his deepest feelings to me. I'm going to start planning the wedding."
Load More Replies...Can you imagine a woman doing this? Would never happen because of the threat of violence. Men are so privileged.
Just for the sake of looking thebopposite way, Can you imagine a men camping outside an actress apartment for so long without being reported? Even if he is not a pervert like the girl in this case?

It actually is true. Robert has spoken about it and there's several articles.

Did I just watch a ten minute video of people training squirrels? Yes, yes I did
Load More Replies...I'd like to believe they ate themselves into food comas on the nuts afterwards.
Load More Replies...The makers of the 1971 W***y Wonka and the Chocolate Factory used geese that laid golden eggs in that scene, precisely to avoid having to train the squirrels, as it was the only possibility at the time. Now in the CGI era, a director who decided to go practical is incredible... [edited: I just noticed BP censored "W***y" on W***y Wonka... WHY??]
W*lly is a colloquialism for p*nis; hence the laughter when the the film Free W*lly came out.
Load More Replies...Very glad Hollywood is moving away from using live animal performers in preference of CGI. Always been a big softie where it upsets me that animals are caged or required to perform for human amusement. Didn't sit right when I was 6, doesn't sit right now.
And most certainly it was cheaper this way :D Comparing having the same quality of both.
Henry is a huge gamer, he'd read all The Witcher books and played the games before the show was announced and he knew he had to be in it, no one else could ever play Geralt, perfect casting.
I do not like him as superman nor the way he acted but seeing how passionate, invested he was about The Witcher made me actually watch it and now I also want to read the books and play the games.

it's true, there's an interview he mentioned that. He heard the phone rang, but never bother to pick it up.
Well, Goetz wasn't charged with war crimes as such, but the Nazi's learned that he stole goods from murdered Jewish people. That wasn't a problem for the nazi's, but the fact that he didn't give the goods to the Reich but kept them in his own posession was a problem. He was charged with theft from the Reich. This was at the end of the war though, and the allied forces took over control shortly after his imprisonment. He was sentenced to death for murdering tens of thousands of people after the war.
Hard to believe the nazis would consider anything a war crime... But wikipedia confirms.
The Wehrmacht indeed followed a lot rules of engagement most of the time, like not shooting at medics or MASH positions on the western front - because the allies mostly kept to those rules as well.
Load More Replies...He's actually one of the coolest and down to earth people. I got to meet him after a performance he did at The Royal Shakespeare Company, not planned or anything, we just went to a pub after the show and he turned up there with a couple other cast members too. Really great guy.
After playing that guy, becoming Voldemort probably felt considerably less evil.
I CAN NOT IMAGINE HER PAIN. THE MEMORIES OF EVIL AND THE ECHOS OF THE TORTURED AND ABUSED.
Now this is a good detail that I didn't really realized until now.
Say what you will about Disney, they do a lot of research and don't skimp on details.

Such a nice movie... "So you free? You mean you wanna dress like that?!."
It is an awesome movie but this is the first time I have ever known anyone to call it a 'nice movie'!
Load More Replies...I still don't know why he let the woman live. Can anybody help me out?
Because most of King's works were translated into utter crap. Only a very few translated from the book to the movie. If you read the books prior to the movie, you know why everyone says "the book was better". They got this one dead on though.
It's been a while, but those damn onion cutting ninjas caught me by surprise...
Unfortunately, this brings up a movie trope I find annoying. "Titanic" unfolds as the reminiscences of the elderly Rose, but it chock full of events the younger Rose would have no knowledge, like this one and the doomed mother telling her doomed children a bedtime story.
You know i didn't realise that until now and I've seen it a hundred times! You are right!
Load More Replies...These two are great actors, and that scene was shot really well. Heartbreaking scene. It still gets to me even though I’m sure I haven’t seen that movie in years.
Yes, there was eyewitness accounts of him refusing to get in a lifeboat and his wife staying on deck with him. Bravery and true love.
Load More Replies...Oh well, I knew what it meant, as I'm sure most people did, unless you are a dunce.
Load More Replies...I read about "Ma" and seriously, its like stepping outside taking a deep breath! I live fort hose scenes.
Someone tell this to the makers of American kids shows, because they are so incredibly grating.
Load More Replies...Yes it is by him and yes there is one. It's where the two sisters are standing at the bus stop in the rain with Totoro just standing next to them. They stare straight ahead, occasionally giving a side glance and the only sound is the rain.
Load More Replies...And this is was Western film does not understand, you watch Asian cinema, from kdramas all the way to Chinese blockbusters, they understand about the power of pause and silence
And wheels and flying machines. And all kinds of great stuff. Been a fan of his since the 1970s.
That was one of the best animated films I've ever seen. There is just something about it, its beautiful and unique and I love that movie
I could just hear him dead pan "Jack's dead and the ship sinks."
My Grandad told everybody that it was going to sink, he went on an on about, how it wasn't safe. Eventually they threw him out of the Cinema!
we had to watch the movie in school.. 10 minutes in a said that the ship will sink anyway, the teacher told me to sit in the hallway the rest of the movie... oh well
Fun fact: the blood on his hand in the first picture is his own, I believe.
Unfun fact: That's his own blood in the third picture, too.
Load More Replies...He was uncomfortable about using the n word in Django. Samuel L Jackson took him aside and had some firm words with him SLJ style
Those eyes seem to say "ugh, really? Come on guys, quit it, I'm not gonna do your shíte" though :D
Load More Replies...I was in a play with a goat. He was an unweaned goat, and his mother was kept offstage. The reasoning was that he would always be pulling in the same direction -- towards his mother -- and so would be predictable. He was good at breaking loose, but the actors I was working with were so good at staying in character while chasing him that it seemed like it was all part of the show. Man, I miss that troupe.
Also don't work with wombats. An Aussie show (County Practice) had one called Fatso and it was a menace. Constantly attacked people.
I like the theory that he isn't a real spy, just a decoy used to attract the villains attention so the real spy can spy in peace.
Like Brain with Inspector Gadget?! Cool idea for a movie. :-)
Load More Replies...Also, he would be a terrible spy, because he always introduces himself with his real name. [Edit] On a slightly unrelated note, the ending of the most recent James Bond film was so sad!
I’m sorry; we had to stifle our laughter through most of the film. I’m normally very good at wilful suspension of disbelief but the stunts just pushed me too far!
Load More Replies...Not to mention that literally everywhere he goes, absolutely everyone knows who he is and what he does for a living. I think the only worse spy is Ada Wong in Resident Evil. "Hi I'm Ada Wong I'm a Chinese Spy!! Here's my Snapchat and YouTube address! Like and subscribe me for more info and videos to learn about all of my spying!!"
It's like how Sterling Archer announces who he is everywhere he goes.
Load More Replies...I wish more films did this and released all the versions so you could watch the one you want
The princess and the cobbler / cobbler and the thief’ - but that was done for different reasons, there’s three versions I’ve watched and know of
Load More Replies...Another one that is not true. Chris Columbus said he figures there's enough material he could cut together multiple versions and clarified that the NC-17 part was a joke and that wasn't actually possible. https://ew.com/movies/mrs-doubtfire-director-chris-columbus-nc-17-cut/
When my mum lost her baby (my younger sister), she was understandably very depressed, and couldn't muster a smile for a long time (besides the forced smiles for me and my siblings). Then, one day, she changed channel to Mrs Doubtfire, and for the first time in a long time, she laughed. She said the film was her first step to recovery xxx
While in his old lady costume, Robin Williams entered a sex shop in LA and ordered a massive dildo. According to Robin Williams himself, it took the owner several minutes to recognize him.
I just realized that this probably applies to many of his movies.. Would be fantastic to get a Robin-Cut of all his films.
that movie is just great. how can you play a such evil character in one movie and such a great guy in another (django).
No, you just say Bingo!! (just finishing the scene & not correcting Raven)
Load More Replies...Geez, I can't imagine anyone else in this role (this reminds me that Rosie Perez was originally cast as Frasier's Daphne Moon. ::shudder::). Waltz is such a wonderful villain and I loved him in Big Eyes & Django, too.
I always assumed the role was written for him. He is so perfect.
I sincerely hated this character. He played it so well, that someone born 40 years post WW2 got a real glimpse of just how evil people could be...and then Tarantino added humor to him. That's a Bingo!!!
Troux wins today's internet award. The rest of you can all go home, now
Load More Replies...Nolan was the director of the Dark Knight Trilogy so he's part of the family....so family emergency. Lol
Bad casting. It’s a goth Batman, weird and totally opposite of Bruce Waynes rich, suave, good looking persona.
1. The movie isn't even out yet. 2. There are many different Batman comic books, written/drawn by many different people. Each version brings its own unique style. I'm pretty sure there was even a comic where Batman was an actual bat.
Load More Replies...Forced perspective was key to these movies. It's amazing what practical effects can do!
Forget the Infinity Gauntlet and Stones! Thanos is coming for the ring!
Imagine how creative and handy some people on the sets should be, how much science and ingenuity, it's incredible!
That's the weird thing about Hollywood. Sometimes the payday for doing great work comes with your next job, not the one where you really excel.
I don't buy this one. A single MUA charges more than that for just one day of work - you cannot convince me that a film with a $5m budget paid less for a month of film makeup than it did for a day's worth of craft services. Literally the only way this is true is if all the MUAs full-on volunteered not only their time but their supplies, because $250 wouldn't even buy a months worth of makeup (especially 5x per day) even if they did all their shopping at the drug store.
Maybe they promised to pay in 'exposure'?
Load More Replies...I used to do Hair and Makeup in Hollywood. A - they wouldn't schedule scenes where they have to go back and forth in looks in one day. That kind of work takes way to long to do that. The actors would be miserable. Their skin jacked up because they'd be constantly adding and removing looks. B - that $250 was likely a "kit fee" which is what they were given to replace their stock. They were still paid their day rates. They wouldn't have worked for free. There are definitely people who do just to get their foot in the door but no Hair/MUA would sign on for a film with that much star power for $250. Department Heads may have negotiated points in the profit after the film was released. However, that would be an unusual thing for crew to get. It's very common for top actors to waive their salary for points because they'll make way more that way. If you already have millions you're not going to suffer until the film comes out.
You'd think Hollywood would have learned that budget is not what makes a movie great.
They are crazy too! You can't outrun them, or climb away from them. And they bite untill they hear bones crunch. Fun!
Load More Replies...I've heard there are many wolverines who don't believe that Hugh Jackman is a real person.
how do so many people on this thread not know that wolverines exist?? How is that even possible?
They are mostly native to northern America and -Eurasia and have other names in other languages, we germans call them "Vielfraß" (Much-eater)
Load More Replies...Good job he didn't study Wolverhampton Wanderers. He would just have been kicking a ball about.
Funny thing, I thought, how stupid the people are who didn't know, then remembered, born and raised in Ann Arbor home of University of Michigan Wolverines, so for course I knew.
Also not to forget he's from Australia. Most wild species common to the rest of the world aren't native in the realm of marsupials.
Load More Replies...You might also have met him as "Chad" (really) in the Matrix Resurrections movie.
Can't understand your downvotes, he really stepped up from stunt double to director.
Load More Replies...They did that to John candy too 😂 it was so bad in ‘wagons east’ just due to the actors movements being nothing like John candies when he made jokes, so the face is super expressive being John candies and there’s this half assed, expressionless stand in with uncoordinated movements.
i always wonder if that movie would've become cult if he didn't die in that film
I think it would. It would also make Brandon very famous. Well, it did, just not the way we wanted.
Load More Replies...That probably helped her performance. Maybe she even avoided talking to him, because she wanted to hold onto the fear, and not realize he was just another guy!
Apparently, he thought never blinking in her presence would unnerve her, which it did. Me too.
The scene in the pitch black with the night vision goggles is some of the best acting I have ever seen, she is just fantastic.
Don't actors use method acting and other techniques to help them show the right emotions?
Load More Replies...It had pretty much fallen off at that point, anyway. I'm not going to link to any nasty pictures, but look up the details if you want.
Load More Replies...Oh this movie is such a surreal journey. I watched the Japanese one and I agree with Miyazaki. No cut.
That goes for most Miyazaki movies. No cut. They are beautiful as they are.
Load More Replies...I've heard about the horribly edited "Warriors of the Wind." No wonder Studio Ghibli sent that sword!
Load More Replies...can they just send movie as they are in America and let the public watch it as they are and not try to make it cheap.
You get it to a wider audience if you edit it by dubbing and editing lip-flaps where applicable. Many people don't have good enough reading skills to enjoy a subbed movie.

Something similar with the Beatles' Yellow Submarine movie. The Beatles said the actors who did the voices sounded more like the Beatles, than the Beatles!

The fake hobbit feet from the "Lord of the Rings" movie were much more convincing! And yes, the actors who played had rubber prosthetics on their feet for the longer shots, the things were tough and protected their feet like shoes, in all those scenes set out in the woods or rocks.
People here are being very silly. He’s not being a “tenderfoot” or “being weak”. He is working and with workplaces comes occupational health and safety regulations. I think you find most workplaces with appropriate OHS regulations and insurance will require the same thing because they don’t want any liability. It is called risk mitigation.
Some people say the silliest things to feel superior for stupid reasons.
Load More Replies...I’m really puzzled by some folks calling out Chris Evans for protecting his feet. He’s not stupid or weak for this, he’s sensible and smart. I am a fan of going barefoot (I went barefoot most of my childhood) and yes it’s perfectly possible to go barefoot safely and comfortably once your skin has toughened up. But that takes time which Evans likely didn’t have, hence the protection. This doesn’t make him a “pussy” or in any way less than any other person. Have any of you critics looked up his work out regimen for building his body up for this movie? Not a program for the faint of heart!
I can't say I'm surprised. They did the same thing for at least one of the episodes of the Incredible Hulk. It was when he had to be running up and down Times Square. While I'm sure effects can hide it better, it's still better to do that than have the actor get hurt.
And yet, it's truly the 1% wealthy that are the parasites on humanity. Maybe one day people will wise up and rid ourselves of them.
It's not particular people that are the issue, but the belief system built around them. For example the belief that we are self-made and being rich or poor is a matter of personal qualities.

People, get a grip. The Borat and Bruno films are satire of the highest order calling out, respectively, xenophobia and homophobia in America. The encapsulate the absurdity of both phobias and show hoe entrenched they are in American culture.
Another point, if the Borat films make you feel uncomfortable, that means they're working.
Seeing some of the scenes - hilarious. Others - disgusting. Did enjoy the laughs though.
I adore Sasha Baron Cohen! Some people just don’t get satire. He’s hilarious.
The scene was filmed after 'Avengers Assemble' had been released in the UK and therefore was never in the original UK cinema release. Chris Evans had to hide his face in this scene as he'd grown a beard for a different role (Snowpiercer, I believe).
How long did it take them to get this scene added to the theatrical release? Or was it only in the home video/streaming version?

Glad I still have a copy of the original. I hate when they edit old TV and movies just to 'get with the times'. No, show me it all in its original horrifically offensive glory. I'm an adult, I can decide for myself, I don't need others censoring things for me.
they didn't edit it just to 'get with the times'. A Canadian TV network edited their broadcast of it to accommodate the ads and the time they had available for the broadcast. AND it was done in 2014, before he ever thought of running for President.

Without him there would be no MCU, he was one of the person who had a final say in the decision of casting of Tom Holland as Spider Man and we've seen how that ended with No Way Home grossing over 1B in 2 weeks which never happened for any other movie beside Avengers End Game. We were all sick and tired or reboots especially the Spiderman ones so RDJ being IN the 1st installment of the Spiderman "Home" trilogy, with his star power and influence is a big deal. Also don't forget that Terrence Howard was paid 4M to play Rodhey in Iron Man I and RDJ ONLY 500K. And that technically the better paid actor pro ratio in the MCU was (is?) Paul Bettany for being the voice of JARVIS and then Vision.
There are people who literally can’t afford both electricity and water in their own homes who work hard jobs every day, getting paid $10 million for what was probably one day of work is absolute disgusting no matter who it is.

I bet he'd be even more successful if he threw himself on the ground and started punching and kicking it and everyone who interferes. I've seen that kind of behaviour before, and among his own ones, within the peers, those doing so got into a position of power ... they even got chances to chose, like, which board game was to play, or who'd get to use the large building blocks, or who is to chose first in case they need a new pair of pants - during beating up the other kids, you can totally forget that you just got out of diapers and let it flow, due to more important things being to be done. I guess Vlad here knows what I'm talking about much too well, and therefore, he takes things on another level, a higher level - he craps himself, publicly broadcast on TV, if Warner Bros does't obey.

George Lucas has talents as a film-maker, but one of them is not writing dialogue. As Harrison Ford once observed “George, you can type this sh!t, but you sure can’t say it.”
I can't believe that anyone blamed her for her performance in those movies, everyone knows that George Lucas is "the worst actor's director alive"! Young actors who work with him are sunk, it's only the old pros like Ian Mc Diarmuid who can excel in his movies, they have so much experience that they don't need a director.
She was in Leon though...to pull off that role as a kid is exceptional.
Proves that bad direction and lines can make even the greatest actor look bad.
One of the things I like most about Portman is how effectively she took control of her image after receiving some awful, creepy comments about her character in Leon. I know nothing of her personal life but professionally, she's always taken the high road.
I watched V For Vendetta again the other day, she's amazing in that.
Tom Hardy was amazing as Bane, even the voice. Do you know how hard it is to act behind a mask and still exude emotion to create fear and panic? He was fantastic.

I have yet to see Tom Hardy in any role that he just doesn't nail completely. That man is talented!
I want to find those commenters and, as Bane would put it, break them.
For me, it was the quiet, calm way he performed such evil deeds. He almost looked bored as he slaughtered innocent people. A truly amazing performance.
Always one to play the Devil's advocate, I really don't see why Bardem's performance in this film was especially noteworthy/Oscar-worthy. He put a blank look on his face and never changed his expression, he delivered all his lines in the same deadpan manner, he shot what he was supposed to shoot without breaking stride. It really seems to me that all the menace in this character was the result of the writing and direction.

Agreed and one reason why I love the movie. The character nuances and the fact that you really do not have black and white just all the moral grey areas that are the hallmarks of humankind. I just saw Rorschach as a terribly traumatised person whom had been abused dreadfully as a child and was trying to make sense of a world that he saw through the filter of that trauma/abuse. Working with childhood trauma/abuse survivors I can see how some people would view him as heroic because he gets to enact the, seemingly consequence free, vengeance they seek on perpetrators that they cannot
