Bread and butter would taste a far sight better than some wedding cakes I've had, and besides...who doesn't love butter?
When I was younger I used to eat bread and butter with sugar on top
Load More Replies...If I invited to such wedding, I will come with triple of gift money that usually I bring. This should be the norm. All newly wed should prioritize their own life, not just a dream wedding
Exactly - a wedding is just a party. Some people love going all-out, which is fine if it makes them happy, but no one should feel obligated to go into massive debt for a party. Best wedding I ever went to was held in a living room and was a potluck so all the guests brought a dish. We also lit off 2 fireworks in the backyard, one for bride, one for groom :) it was so chill and fun.
Load More Replies...I would legit prefer the bread and butter and their happiness. Hell, I would take no food and just a celebration of their happiness with friends.
We had a small destination wedding, not the weird crazy expensive, and then a reception where family brought food, we ordered pizza and chicken people were in shorts and tshirts or dressed formal (we wore wedding gown and tux but encouraged everyone to relax) the last few weddings we went to were so formal and stuffy. And obviously expensive. And not all happy endings…I would be happy to take food to a casual wedding if I was able!
Load More Replies...I’ve never understood the desire to get into a debt to get married.
This is exactly what a wedding should be, not these ridiculous extravagant affairs that put you in debt instead of using those funds for a down payment on a house. Since 40-50% of US marriages end in divorce, think of it as an investment. An over budget wedding is a very stupid investment with those odds.
When you're sick, grieving or in pain a furry little little friend can comfort you better than any human.
Hi void! Mine curled up like a baby in my arms and I didn’t want to move!. His sister was more of a daddy’s girl but she started curling up on my one foot and ankle. I’ve had 3 surgeries on it and didn’t know drs missed problems for over 30 years. To this day I have to keep that same foot warm with a sock and/or blanket, she’s no longer around to cuddle it. It’s like she knew.

I am a bit hesitant on meeting the donors like that. In some cases it is probably nice for them, but for the one getting a organ it may cause issues.
The one who is donated to has the power to refuse or reach out. The donor's family does not have contact info. Only the recipient can have the information. So the family had to have contacted the donor's family

I worked in a transplant clinic for five years (non-clinical). The emotion that flows through every transplant is always deep. Everyone involved knows the sacrifice made by someone and their family that allows another family to stay whole. It can be very challenging work, but ultimately very rewarding.
As a mom, I think it would be too painful to do this - meaning, listening to my child's heart in someone else.
I wish I could have donated anything, when my daughter died. No one ever mentioned snything, but it‘s pretty obvious that there was nothing they could have used. She was gone too long, I think. Would have been great though. Would have made it somehow…. not exactly worth it, but…. At least there would have come something good out of it, you know?

Learning about this mirror as a kid had a serious impact on me. Stephen Colbert's Questionert ("questionnaire") asks willing guests 15 questions they must answer. And, most glacial ice is blue. The extreme compression that takes place forces all the air out. And the ice crystals become huge ... light then, like in an ocean, absorbs the red end of the spectrum, In the 90's "glacial ice" was a fad in bar drinks ... it melted "violently (movement) and loudly"

Meanwhile, Mark Janes, a chartered biologist and scientist, revealed in a past interview that life is inherently simple, with carbon being its main ingredient. It’s an element that can be found everywhere, from living things and air to the ocean, rocks and fossils. Carbon is essential to all life on Earth, even humans, as it makes up fats and carbohydrates that make up molecules and our DNA, which makes up our bodies.

Another unusual piece of information about our world that meteorologist, atmospheric scientist, and owner of Makens Weather, Matt Makens, told us in a previous interview is that there’s an extreme weight of moisture in the air. “Especially within thunderstorms that are miles high and carry large hail...the tremendous amount of upward wind to enable all of that water and ice to stay in the air is mind-blowing to us as observers when we watch those thunderstorms pass through.”

These experts are also driven by curiosity and still have some mysteries they would like to find out in their field of expertise. For example, Davila is trying to see if the rise and fall of barometric pressure can be related to migraines. While Makens wants to discover the driving forces behind warm and cool phases of a natural climate pattern across the tropical Pacific—El Niño and La Niña. Until now, no one was able to exactly pinpoint why they occur.
Reminds me of the "Hunger Stones" of Europe. They were rocks placed on the bottom of rivers or lakes as markers to indicate dangerously low levels of water. One stone in Germany has an inscription: "If you see me, weep."
There was one village in England called Eyam that during the Black Death in 1665 that chose to completely isolate themselves to stop the plague spreading to other local villages after they received a flea infested bolt of cloth from plague-ridden London. There was no plague in the surrounding area. They left money (coins) in these vinegar baths at the edge of the village and merchants outside would leave food for them at these rocks. 350 people lived in Eyam and once the plague had run it's course only around 80 were left.

I went swimming with sharks, we were strongly advised not to touch them. For this reason. Blood in the water with sharks is never a good idea
Japanese crafts people have used shark skin as fine sandpaper for centuries.
Shark teeth are just hardened scales and, when they lose one, another takes it's place for LIFE!
The sharks skin is design in such a way that micro organism cannot attach themselves to the skin.
From nose to tail, as the micro-scales face that direction. Try running your finger in the opposite direction and you'll find they're not smooth at all. Although, whilst alive in the ocean, their skin is covered by a mucus membrane which helps them heal quickly from wounds as well as making them more hydrodynamic.

No "Back" about it, and not babies who lost their parents. This would be one of the baby lifts at the end of the Vietnam War. These are babies that were given up because they likely had Vietnamese mothers and US soldier fathers. These babies were noticeably larger than Vietnamese babies, which put them in danger of being murdered due to not being 'pure' at the end of the war. My BFF was one of these babies, but his adoptive parents went and got him. His parents got a call from the US State Dept and were told that if they wanted a baby, get on this flight at this time and go get it. They arrived at the orphanage and were handed a baby and told this is your baby now, and they flew back. The State Dept. was signing adoption papers on the plane and had birth certificates and citizenship papers for them at the airport when they landed. This is a part of the Vietnam War many people don't understand or know about.
"Orphaned" or stolen? Keep in mind there are still adoption agencies stealing children from their parent in developing countries and practically selling them to European families.
Never heard about US caring much about the actual offspring of their soldiers in countries like Vietnam...or did they care?
